Once again this community has shown how powerful it can be when we get behind a cause. Last week we featured The Flour Shop Bakery. The support and positive energy they received was truly inspirational. With the Texas Restaurant Association just announcing that 1046 small business restaurants have closed in the first six months of 2026. We need to keep up the momentum. This week our Small Business is Jackie's Ham & Eggs. Tommy and his team are cooking up the BEST breakfast,brunch, and lunch daily. They have been doing such an amazing job that they were recently featured in the Dallas Morning News. They are serving up Everything from Omletes to Chilaquiles to the best Burgers in town. Or try my personal favorite his assortment of crepes from blueberry, strawberry, or Nutella. Tommy and his team are making everything fresh right in their in the kitchen. With such an amazing fresh and local breakfast spot owned by a valued member of the community why would we even think of going to IHOP for breakfast? Where you get premix pancakes and waffles. So if you are a regular of Jackie’s Ham & Eggs, been once but it’s been a while, or never been at all let stop by this week and show the power of community. We had a wonderful guest Tony stop in the restaurant on Tuesday night. Tony is a truck driver who drives all over the country. He loves Mexican food and every stop he makes a TikTok of the places he has visited. He gets Fajitas at every stop and he rated our Fajitas the Best in the entire country. So stop by Chante and have what many people are saying is the Best Fajitas. With Steak and Chicken marinated in Pineapple juice and a Mexican spice blend for at least 24 hour. Mexican Rice, Black Beans, Guacamole, Pico de Gallo, Crema Fresca, and Fresh made to order Corn or Flour Tortillas. But don’t take my word for it, here is what Tony said.

I want to Thank everyone for all of the positive energy to my post last week pertaining to supporting small businesses. A lot of new guest last week out to support us. One of those guests was Cara from The Flour Shop. Another local Small Business Owner.She has an amazing bakery in the area so I decided to return the favor and stopped by and picked up some delicious treats. She has amazing cupcakes, cakes, cookies, and an assortment of other desserts all made fresh in house. Now my question is with such a quality bakery operated by one of our own. Why are we going to a chain grocery store to buy cookies or cupcakes? Why are we going to a chain bakery to buy our cakes? I would like everyone to make a commitment. Lets make Cara and The Flour Shop the Small Business of the week. Stop by her amazing bakery and pick up treats for the kids, family, friends, teachers, or just indulge yourself.
