🌹This is a PSA from Lewistown Florist!!🌹
In today's scam alert!
Not all websites are reputable.
Anyone can create what appears to be a good florist website.
People are easily scammed this way.
When googling a florist, always know that some are fake.
It's been daily lately that customers have been scammed thinking they ordered from a reputable site because it looked so good.
THAT'S WHAT SCAMMERS WANT YOU TO THINK!
Today, an order was called in from someone claiming to be the person whose credit card they were using. We could easily tell it was not!
The scammer placed the order by phone.
We have caller ID and the number was actually the Lewistown Hospital phone number.
The phone number that was given to us by the scammer was an out of state number. We immediately called the number after we hung up with them and that number had been disconnected.
We asked some questions of the person and determined it was a scam.
They have all it takes to use your credit card at ease.
When giving your personal information to these fake sites, they have enough info of yours to run your credit or debit cards anywhere.
Name, address, phone number and credit card numbers including the security code on the card.
Moving forward, we will be questioning all suspicious orders placed by phone to the point that if we aren't comfortable taking the order we will not.
Be aware if you use any other site except Lewistown florist .Com you are risking your information being stolen.
Please pass this along so that it may prevent further damage to your personal info and charges that weren't made by you.
As always, We want to protect our customers as well as our business.
