Less than 2 weeks until my next show - Art in the Gardens Sonnenberg Gardens 💐🌿✨ busy laying out & glueing frames while also getting some bridal custom orders worked into the mix. Things always start to feel a bit hectic leading up to a show but I love the excitement of it all, especially going somewhere new. After this one it’s People’s Choice. Lots to look forward to 🦋

Tis the season for all the pressing! I have 8 bridal bouquets currently getting dried either fresh from this weekend or almost finished up. I’m also gathering and pressing flowers for my art frames and stocking up for the year. Anything in bloom I’m trying to grab before it’s gone!

Recently I was picking up something from my parent’s rental property and came across her rose bush bursting with the most beautiful little peachey roses. After filling my shirt with them I realized they were covered in rose thrips as tiny bugs crawled all over my arms & legs in the car. 😂 Just another day on the job.

I’ve been getting quite a few last-minute brides lately, and honestly, I don’t mind one bit.
Bouquet preservation isn’t something most couples know about while planning a wedding. And if they do, it often becomes just another note buried in the middle of a never-ending wedding to-do list.
I completely understand.
That’s why I’m asking for a little help spreading the word. If you have a friend, daughter, sister, coworker, or neighbor getting married, casually mention preserving their wedding flowers before they end up in the trash.
And if you’re reading this after your wedding thinking, “Uh oh, did I miss my chance?” — you may not have.
I accept bouquets up to 4 days after the wedding, so there’s often still time to save those blooms and turn them into artwork that lasts.
