Banjos for Breakfast

I uploaded this video to my Facebook the other day. This version is an update of that. I added vocal harmony on the chorus, recut the second banjo break, and pulled the mandolin and harmonica solos down just a hair to balance things.

I believe this number comes from fiddling Arthur Smith.

This CD was offered for sale at Cracker barrel several years ago. It's a dandy. George Jones singing Roy Acuff hits being backed by Roy's band. I'm glad to see it on YouTube

This is a crackerjack bluegrass instrumental album, if you can get used to how forward the drums are. A little bit unusual for this type of music, but I was digging it before the album was done.

A little rougher around the edges, but where it counts, they match Lester and Earl with their energy. I credit Everett Lilly, My favorite bluegrass mandolin player. His rhythm is like a stock dog. He's making the band step high.
