On this day in 1941, it was showtime for The Campus Theatre, as the theatre entered the spotlight on what would become a truly majestic journey into the cinematic history of everyone's hearts and minds of this incredibly community. Today, The Campus Theatre turns 82 and we are more excited then ever to celebrate the years before us and the many years yet to come. On our anniversary, we reflect on all of those who have supported and celebrated The Campus Theatre and have helped to make it the treasure that it has become here in the heart of downtown Lewisburg. So we want to say THANK YOU to all of you, past, present, and future, as you are the greatest gifts that The Campus Theatre could ever receive. We would love to hear some of your most memorable memories of this theatre, as we wish a very Happy 82nd Birthday to The Campus Theatre!

TICKETS ON SALE: Like, OMIGOD! Have you heard the totally tubular word around town? The Campus Theatre is going TOTALLY 80'S IN 2023 with the gnarly return of THE EPIC 80'S DANCE PARTY!!! So grab your homies, Heathers, or your favorite hottie and like prepare yourselves for a like TOTALLY OUTRAGEOUS night as we dance the night away to the far out beats and musical sensations of the 1980s! So if you're like for sure ready for some totally killer tunes, big hair, acid wash denim and reminiscing about scoping out your crush at the food court, and skating the night away at the roller rink, pull out those side ponies and leg warmers and join us at The Campus Theatre to like party hearty for one MAJOR RUSH that will like totally rock your world!
The Campus Theatre 80's Dance Party will be SATURDAY, JANUARY 14TH at 8:00 PM! Tickets are $20 and we will have a totally outrageous costume contest, cash bar, gnarly snacks, and so much more, it's sure to be totally tubular to the max!!!

Looking for talent. If anybody out there is got some talent of any sort, we are looking to produce our third Variety Show at the Campus Theatre.

Dancers, singers, musicians of any sort, comedians, magic and any other talent you may have would be of interest to us. There is no age limit here, the more multi-generational the better. Please contact Cynthia Peltier at [email protected].

In preparation for the , we want to highlight some of the amazing performers you'll be able to see on May 18th!

In our final performer reveal for the show, we're focusing on a pair of great local musicians: Taylor Fleming and Ryan Flannery, who will be performing as the Funhouse duo! With their roots and education in jazz, Funhouse are also a duo who grew up listening to the likes of AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, and Prince. After ten years together, their love for the traditional and the contemporary fuel creative arrangements of familiar tunes from Miles Davis to James Taylor to Pink Floyd. Funhouse compositions are comprised of yin and yang verve, cinematic, rocking and swinging.

The second showing of the hits the Campus Theatre stage in just two weeks! Are you ready for all the amazing performances you'll get to see?

Today we want to highlight two great actors coming to our stage from the phenomenal RiverStage Community Theatre! Tim Hippensteel and Desiraé Moore will be showcased in the upcoming performance of Monty Python's Spamalot, but first they'll be Live from Lewisburg!

Tim Hippensteel is a local performer involved in both Riverstage Community Theatre and the Community Theatre League. He has appeared in over three dozen on-stage roles. Offstage, he works in economic development for a five county region.

Desiraé Moore (Lady of the Lake) - This is Desiraé’s first time performing during Lewisburg Live and she is ecstatic to share such a large character with more people. Some of her past roles include Miss Adelaide from Guys and Dolls and Cathy in The Last Five Years.

RiverStage Community Theatre has been producing high-quality volunteer-driven theatre at Greenspace Center in downtown Lewisburg since moving in there in 2017. Their upcoming summer musical, the hilarious ‘Monty Python’s Spamalot,’ will perform June 17-26 featuring a huge cast of local actors and a full orchestra—tickets and more info can be found today at riverstagetheatre.org.
