Event planning & designing is a passion of mine & I specialize in creating handmade custom pieces fo
LIVE-LOVE-CREATE, everyone encompasses a special talent to offer this world and mine has always been something related to art/creation. In elementary school I would sketch for hours designing different clothing and remember being approached by my peers in art class requesting to assist them with their art projects. Sketching transformed into painting, painting lead to creating custom decor and eve
nt pieces, which brought me to event planning. Its the perfect match for me because its everything I really love, from my past to now: creativity, designing and making memorable experiences. I will be posting events/designs I have worked on, event and design projects easily manageable for the everyday person, tips and tricks and small giveaways. Feel free to post any comments or questions regarding event planning/designing, maybe you have an idea but not sure how to execute it, enjoy!!

LOVE this creative and cost effective design technique! Patio, garage, deck flooring, the ideas are endless! Absolutely beautiful! You can find a wide range of stencils online that are also bigger than the one shown in this video. I would recommend getting two to four depending on the size of your floor and time allowance and taping them together as one single piece! Can’t wait to try this out 💙
Life will always throw you curves, just keep fouling them off...the right pitch will come, and when it does...be prepared to run the bases -rick maksian
My divorce feels comparable to being thrown 30 curveballs at once and me trying to shift to foul off each one while being excited and ready for that perfect pitch...legs bent, back straight, arms strong, mind focused while feeling the power of my body connecting and grounding myself to the earths surface, sun shining down, slight breeze in the air.
Baseball is a great game of self reflection. I see my sons team growing each week becoming more connected and rooted with the same common goal as a team in conjunction with individual goals they strive to succeed and grow stronger at.
Whether it’s a divorce, getting a better job, having healthy relationships, losing weight, the obstacles we are experiencing, are curveballs or possibilities to our home runs. Finding patience and peace supports us getting there with intentional focus to steer the direction of our destination.
My home run is getting closer, the day I get to close the book to this 16 year detour of my vision and purpose is the most courageous and exciting curveball I get to soar to the stadium. I’m not afraid anymore, the control, manipulation and abundance of put downs no longer have power, I create my value for myself.
0-0, bases loaded, top of the 9th, 2 outs and I’m up...Nothing will steer my vision this time to a path that doesn’t serve me, that ball will be caught by the most passionate person in the stadium: Future Me 0-1,000
What curveballs or possibilities are leading you to your home runs? Are you ready to step up to the plate and make a play? Who do you get to be to create that? 💙⚾️💙
My most fav grad party that I have had the honor to support, this event had it all! 8 tents showcasing delicious food, full bar with bartender, dessert variety, the best DJ, airbrush tattoo artist, photo slideshow, large outdoor games, body sugar scrub favor bar, memorabilia and awards, blanket and pillow lounge area, full seating with lovely accent cabaret tables, beautiful flowers and more!
Thank you so much to my lady Karla Hill for welcoming me to join in on such an important day for you and Karay! And a huge thank you to Karla’s sister, Krystal Hill, for giving us the opportunity to transform her backyard into an outdoor venue! 😘😘😘
Fear can be a roadblock to our true potential.
When we embrace fear and change our relationship with fear, failing transforms into waves of opportunities.
We don’t always know the direction it will take us, if we shift to be the driving energy within the wave, we no longer view the unknown as scary or intimidating but as untouched surface with unlimited possibilities.
Viewing failure courageously means we get to be the wave pushing through obstacles and impeding ideas with the perseverance to welcome graciously where we travel to, whether it be something we pre-determined or something we are enlightened by.
Failures are as important, if not more, then the wins. They are stories of how we got where we are and where we can go, creating an abundance of expansion to what is obtainable.
Go for it, the wave, humbled by the path of what you get to explore and create, courageously and passionately, the door of failure is also the door of your biggest accomplishment 💙💙💙
A few photos (still have some to add to this) of the amazing David Triplet Tailgating Bar Mitzvah with Abigail Zwelling David.
15 hour setup, three trips with the Uhaul van, over 100 custom made signs, over 60 wheat grass centerpieces, over 20 grilles and handfuls of coolers, 3 pop up tents, 3 backdrops, drive-in movie lounge area with popcorn table, Tara Miller Rozen green screen, Matt Ryan DJ, airbrushing tattoo service, themed out tailgating food stations around the room, dessert tent featuring an ice-cream cart and a variety of sweet treats, pop shot/corn hole/giant jenga/and more tailgating games, custom fence table seating chart, water bottle and koozie favors and more!
All guests were invited to wear their favorite sports attire, all staff wore lanyards that said “staff” to differentiate and to play well with the theme and guests gave custom event “tickets” that was paired with the fence seating chart, for admittance into the event at the main door.
This Mitzvah had it all and Abby was amazing to work with! She rolled with my laid back style, completely open to any ideas and allowed me to run with my vision. Very honored to support such an important day in the David’s lives, this one tops as one of my most favorite events! The Renaissance Hotel of Polaris was SO amazing to work with, the staff was incredible in supporting our ideas and truly aided us to make this event a success, the space is beyond gorgeous from every corner!
Thank you to everyone involved and to Carrie Carrie Hurley, Karla Hill, Meni Spanorigas, my mama and my son Jay 💙💙💙
PLEASE JOIN ME! The Huckleberry House Drive For Hope has launched! We need your support! There are a list of items requested and I would truly be honored to have your partnership in creating the biggest difference possible with these children. What can you sacrifice this week and next next week? When you are at the grocery store, can you place some of these items in your cart instead of some wants? When we come together as a team, we create bigger results! Please comment for more information!
Don’t miss the opportunity to visit this amazing Art Gala for Hope! To kick off the New Year, a beautiful fundraiser for Huckleberry House, an organization that supports youth in unstable households or who are struggling with unsafe, unsupportive or abusive relationships at home, will showcase an art gala including an art auction with light refreshments and food!
I am honored to support this fundraiser with group members of Next Level Trainings and have committed myself to support in raising $117,000, 1,500 tangible goods and 3,700 volunteer hours to create the biggest impact we can for these youth without hope.
We also are accepting monetary and tangible donations and assistance with our improvement project on January 19th and 20th at their transitional living program that offers homeless youth a place to stay while teaching them skills to live successfully on their own.
There are so many ways that you can be the change and we would be honored to have you and your loved ones join us!
I’m including my link for donations (we also can accept cash/check donations) as well as the event link for the art gala! Let’s kick off the New Year by being the source of change. One child’s life we empower, they inspire possibility and hope around them...we save lives by simply living this vision of action...let’s create the most hope possible for young youth together 💙💙💙

Had so much fun helping design an at home wedding for two very special people!! Theme: girly rustic featuring purple, green, cream, white and brown hues mixed with flowing chiffon, sparkly chandeliers, candelight, lace, tree bark and branches. Guests loved the selfie station (not pictured) and all the unexpected design elements. I handmade food and other event signs, created some of my most favorite floral arrangments (the greenery came from my own yard), crafted Jodi's bouquet and the bark inspired votives. Small and intimate wedding but the design work was full throughout the spaces we decorated in. One of my favorite events because nobody expected what was created when they walked inside their home, loveeee it.
Had a fabulous time coordinating another beautiful Bat Mitzvah for my client Andrea Adkins! Theme: Flip Tumble Run, sportsy with feminine touches. Over 40 wheat grass centerpieces, all kids and adult tables had candy centerpieces, themed backdrops, homemade signs and more! The caterer came up with the fun idea to display mini donuts on peg boards, Chris Cakes was literally flipping pancakes to guests, so very happy to be involved in another special event for an amazing family. Big thank you to my MKM girls Samara Cassidy, Carrie Hurley and Sara Renee for help with setup and take down and for taking these awesome photos with my phone being mysteriously missing 😁

What an amazing day, was so happy to be assist my client Melissa Sitter and her daughter, Julia, with this super fun Bat Mitzvah! I have been excited about this theme to execute for a year now and it finally came to life! The variety of decor and color schemes, the four season designed dessert and candy bar, viewing Julia and the amazing Irish dancers perform and the thoughtful candle lighting ceremony, all the elements came together beautifully, very proud and honored to be involved in such a special celebration! Thank you Melissa for being great to work with, patient, trusting my vision, being very organized and open to last minute ideas, cannot wait for the 1980's Bar Mitzvah next year! XOXOXO AS always, a big thank you to my setup and take down crew for this event, Halli Burke Tibbals, Samara Cassidy, Sara Renee, Carrie Hurley and Amy Strangis, you are all superstars and made my life so much easier, thank you for taking initiative and making things happen!!
One of my most favorite things to do in life is to surprise people, the unexpected plan to make someone's day happier is simply the best feeling. My daughter was off from school so I asked her if she wanted to go to the zoo after she woke up and of course she was in the shower within one minute to get ready to go. As we were leaving the zoo, she said it was the best day of her life. Our favs of the day: polar bears splashing during the rain storm, goat with the spiral horns ramming the glass (she kept telling people he was trying to escape), cutest baby monkeys ever, cutest baby gorilla and her first ever pony rides. Do something completely unexpected for someone this week that you adore or someone you don't know very well, it can be simple or creative and will surely be the best day of the week for both of you.
These are for you Halli Burke Tibbals! Thank you for inviting me to help decorate Madi's Winter Wonderland Bat Mitzvah! This theme was so much fun to design, I appreciate you giving me freedom to take the lead with the decor process. I wish I would have created behind the scenes photos from us collecting/spraying the tree branches/decor pieces/pinecones, to the cement being poured in the pots, the handfuls and handfuls of accent decor centerpeices being created and my entire front room being taken over by winter winderland decor. After 2 years of planning, the day was a beautiful success. Madi was absolutely gorgeous and the poems written for the candle lighting ceremony were genuine and heartwarming. A BIG thanks to my crew on Friday and Saturday, Carrie Hurley, Samara Cassidy, Sara Renee, Rebekah Mammoser, Rachel Kendzior Reed and Lindsey Okeson, the day was a success because of you! XOXOXOXO
Before I post my album of Madi's Beautiful Winter Wonderland event that took place last Saturday, I first would like to thank my Friday night helper, Carrie, my setup crew (pic below) Samara, Sara and Rebekah and my take down crew, Rachel and Lindsay. Without the support of these ladies, I would not have been able to accomplish my goals for this amazing Bat Mitzvah. Thank you ladies!!! You all took direction perfectly and were great to work with!! XOXOXO Posting album soon!!

Ever wonder how to cut out those perfect burlap pennants?
1. First, you need to harden the fabric to get it prepared for cutting, this allows you to cut the exact shape desired without the fabric moving! I have tried this method and it works amazingly well. Visit this site for instructions: http://tinselandwheat.com/how-to-stiffen-burlap/
2. Print out the exact shape of the pennant you want, they come in all sizes and shapes. Mix and match! Place this image on the hardened fabric after it is completely dry and use either white chalk or a sharpie to trace the image on the burlap, then cut out.
2, Grab stencils from your local hobby store, lightly spray adhesive the back and adhere to the fabric.
3. Using a stencil brush, dab paint on the adhered stenciled image and wait 10 minutes before you peel stencil off. Play around with different types of painting styles, ombre is very pretty! Layer on a shiny glaze or sparkle for extra shine.
4. Embellish with ribbon or other decor for extra detail.
Something fun to experience if you enjoy bowling, go to a local pro am event (free event other than tournament fees if you signed up to bowl later in the event) to meet and greet with the pros, bowl with them in the tournament or stay to watch the tournament. Vendor booths are setup for you to try out different types of balls on the lanes with opportunities to get tips from the athletes and also a variety of prize giveaways. My son is in a bowling league at the Columbus Square Bowling Palace and he won an opportunity to come out to this event at the Wayne Webb's Columbus Bowl to bowl with the pros during the meet and greet. He was nervous at first, probably because he was the smallest kiddo there (in the yellow shirt and red shorts) but after awhile he was really enjoying it. Everyone was very friendly and helpful just having fun enjoying the sport, a great event for the whole fam! Also included some pics of B's highest scores he got recently, he was in the zone! From heaven, I'm sure his bowling coach, grandpa Bill, was proud of him both days :) Go to bowl.com to get tournament/event info like this or contact your local bowling center.
End result of my aged pillars, what's nice about this finish? If they move around during transport, any damage will blend in with this painting style.
Been wanting to paint these pillars for a few years now. The brown color looked outdated to me and hid all the details of the column so have never used them for props, they were donated pieces. I decided to age them to coordinate with my spring wedding backdrop set I am creating now, will post a pic of that later today. Painting can always fix something you don't like anymore whether it's a furniture or decor piece in your home, paint before you buy something new!
After viewing the procession of our Westerville fallen officers with my kiddos in our home, its so important for them to understand how we lucky and privileged we are to have our local police departments, fire departments, military members and everyone who sacrifices their lives every day to ensure our safety providing a promising future for our families and loved ones. Let's honor the families of Officer Anthony Morelli and Officer Eric Joering

Alana's Kindergarten Vday Box! Didn't have time to put on the fairy lights, but after 5 hours, our three tier idea turned out nice. The person who can guess the closest to the amount spent on supplies wins a free brown sugar body scrub!
Kids menus are a great idea for any event, provides them with something extra to do to entertain themselves during the party. Adult menus are engaging for occasions such as baby showers, supports guests with fun details about the expecting couple as well as offering information for the day's events. This was a kids menu I created for the Little Bear Golf Club Grille.
