After 36 hours round trip me and the family are back home.

We made our way to Martin, Michigan for the third stop on the NHRA North Central Division 3 tour and let me tell ya the only thing we did right this weekend was find the place US 131 Motorsports Park.

After rolling in at noon Friday we went up for Q2 and we made it all of 10’ before I felt a disconnect between the engine and the tires. Pulled over to the side no leaks no drips so I figured the trans had let go. I drove the car back to our pit believing we had diagnosed the problem correctly. Get ready to do a trans swap because luckily our good buddy Steven Dziorny Racing had a spare he was willing to loan me. We start the swap at 6:00pm and we are done except for the fluid at 8:00pm. All of a sudden we notice one wheel spins while the other one won’t while in park……..pull it apart and sure enough it’s the axle snapped about 6” from the splines. Thank you to everyone who helped with the swap and everyone who tried to talk me into it. We almost had a story you dream about. Also thank you to everyone who helped me push the car in the trailer after the winch broke about halfway into the trailer. Really added to the weekend 😂

We will be back at Indy for the 4th spot on the tour. Time to order some new axles and probably check the transmission out

Our two week extravaganza at Summit Motorsports Park is over, we had a great time seeing friends and the racing family. The driver didn’t do too bad but couldn’t get anything rolling past third round.

Race one: the wind made dialing fun and we were lucky enough to make it to third round before turning it -.007 red ending our day

Race two: we were scheduled to have two rounds Saturday but we were only able to complete one. Sunday morning I missed the dial in pretty good as it was a lot slower than what the weather station was telling me, ending our day.

National Event: Coming into the National I was feeling pretty good as the weather was looking similar to what we had the week before. This paid off and we were able to go Dead on with a 0 first round Friday morning. We had to race the always tough Steven Dziorny Racing second round Friday evening and unfortunately Steven turned it red sending us to Saturday morning. Saturday morning we missed the dial AGAIN and a little hiccup from the car and driver didn’t help ending our weekend early.

Thank you to everyone who came out to support us and cheer us on, we have the best friends and fan crew in the world.

Kicking around the idea of selling the engine out of the be**er to fund a power train swap. Let me know if anyone would have any interest. Would be a good starter engine for a bracket car or good street engine with mufflers and correct rear gear. Intake to pan. Carb for extra money.

The Dutch….

Well nothing to write home to Mom about with our performance this weekend. Saturday afternoon we started out good with a solid first round win. Second round however we made one of the worst runs we have made all year which as usual resulted with an L starting our time slip. I don’t really know what happened to me other than I can say I just flat out missed it, by a lot… oh well that’s life in the big city 🤷‍♂️.

Maple Grove track staff and all the D1 crew were very nice and I would love to go back one day. As for 2025 it was full of good memories and I can’t wait to get back out for 2026 to turn things around as we haven’t been able to do much all year in the drivers seat. We will continue to work on the Gold Duster as we got more body panels on it yesterday. Thank you to everyone for tuning along and we will see all our friends and racetrack family in 2026

Some how we found our way east for the final NHRA race of our 2025 season. Maple Grove Raceway for the Dutch Classic. This place is pretty cool and racing into the mountains is just beautiful during the fall. We made two good runs, got beat 1st round of class but oh well that’s life in the big city 🤷‍♂️. Tomorrow we race Round 1 and possibly Round 2. The D1 crowd has been super nice, great group of people

St. Louis Race 1

We rolled into World Wide Technology Raceway on Thursday evening got parked for the 2 week extravaganza. Love this track. Friday we had two solid qualifying passes putting us solidly at #42 out of the 59 cars. We hung out the rest of the evening and watched the pro cars. Saturday morning we were able to get the round 1 win in a good first round race. Saturday evening we went up for second round and did not get it done. We missed the dial in a touch and our opponent was just better than us 🤷‍♂️ oh well that’s drag racing. Sunday we headed home to work for a couple days to try and make some entry fee money before we head back Tuesday Night.

National events are always fun and glad I got to experience this one. St. Louis we will be back and more ready to race than ever for the next week with all of our D3 friends. See yall Tuesday

Haven’t posted in a while

Last weekend we made our way to Summit Motorsports Park for there annual Mopar show. I didn’t get a lot of pictures but Dad and I both had pretty decent weekends. With Dad taking the Cuda to run in Pro and me racing th be**er in sportsman

I started Thursday by taking the Dart Sport up for the test and tune making sure everything was back to normal after last weekend we lost a driveshaft universal joint. All was just fine and dandy after Drive Line 1 hooked us up and she is bsck to normal 👍

Friday, Dad made it to the 3rd round of the gamblers race before losing a tight one, I had to work so I didn’t make my way back up to the track with the be**er until late.

Saturday I rolled around for the time run and the little mouse motor continues to surprise me. 12.61 @ 105 was the quickest it’s been by over a tenth and a 1.67 60’ isn’t too shabby for the 273. I however struggled to cut a light and bowed out first round, while dad made his way back to third round before losing another close race after the car spun a little.

Sunday, I still couldn’t cut a light to save my life but we managed a few round wins in the be**er, making our way down to 4th round and bowing out at 7 cars, becasue the driver forgot where the brake pedal was and couldnt tighten it up enough. The be**er repeated decently as this is the first time I’ve gotten to try it over multiple runs, and everything seemed to hold up. Dad unfortunately turned it red second round on Sunday.

Fast forward to today we cleaned the trailer out, swapped cars as I am heading to the St. Louis national event at World Wide Technology Raceway. Looking forward too another national event with all the great people we race with. As for the be**er, we will probably leave it alone and try to race it again before the season is over to see if we can get lucky enough to get a win in it before the winter comes.

Norwalk Marathon Recap

After arriving on Tuesday we were able to get 2 qualifying passes in on Wednesday before the rain came. Thursday was a wash out as we watched it rain all day. Friday I was able to make it by round 1. Racing was called Friday night after completing a full session of Round 1 for all classes. Saturday morning I decided to be a NDMF and just look foolish to even stage up the car (should have slept in). Shrug that off and come back around for Round 1 Sunday and the car decided to not have but 1/2lbs of fuel pressure at the 1000’ causing a lot of breaking up leading to the driver having to call it quits and shut the engine off. We brought the car home, pops and I think we have made a discovery as to why randomly the car decided to have no fuel pressure. We will return Wednesday evening for the national event and give it another try, Norwalk is one of the best places to race in the country as it truly is first class, hats off to the whole staff of D3 and the Summit Motorsports Park crew for drying and dragging the track all weekend to get the race completed. Congrats to Steven Dziorny Racing on the Runner up in the first race, always glad to see your friends do well, you’re a killer man. Rodney Kaekel got to the 4th round of the second race, good job brother to bring home some money, keep it rolling. It was fun to hangout with everyone, even if I stayed up a little too late some nights it was worth the memories. See everyone Wednesday night for the natty!

I guess we are going to give the first IHRA National/Divisional event a shot at National Trails. Applied for the license today and it was a pretty simple process. Also pre entered Stock Eliminator. Excited to see how this goes.
