At the June Council Business meeting, Chloe Secoda received her first place International award from Supreme for the annual Knights of Columbus Catholic Citizenship Essay Contest. Chloe won for the 11th grade, and she attends Conwell Egan Catholic H.S.. The topic she wrote on was: "Out of the 267 popes that have led the Catholic Church, who are your three favorite popes and why?"

Presenting her with a certificate and a $300.00 check were: State Deputy - Gary Damich (virtual), State Warden - Michael C. Yuknek, PA Essay Contest Chairman - Dan Donovan, Program Promotion East - Michael DeLucia, District Deputy 16 - Kenneth Harkanson, and Grand Knight - Thomas Miller.

The Council held its annual Easter Egg Hunt this morning at Our Lady of Perpetual Help. More than 30 children showed up for the hunt and a visit from the Easter Bunny.

Our Bingo Fundraiser is still on for tonight. Mother Nature has been kind enough to hold off until after midnight it appears. Doors will open at 5:30 pm. See you then. Reminder. we are not selling tickets at the door. Thanks all.

We will also not be selling tickets at the door. All tickets to be purchased in advance. We currently have 44 raffle baskets and plenty of door prizes. We will also have our Super 50/50 drawing which is up to $1,040.00 to the winner as of now and will only grow larger. BYOB. We will have snacks, Philly pretzels, water and soft drinks for sale. Get your group together for a night of great fun and support some great charitable efforts!
