Thanks to the generosity of the Virginia & Harvey Kimmel Family Fund of the Philadelphia Foundation, Shakespeare & Company is thrilled to announce Budding Bards – a new initiative providing free tickets to all patrons 18 and under for our mainstage production of Romeo and Juliet. With this amazing support, we can open our doors even wider to young audiences, offering them a chance to see Shakespeare’s words come to life on stage and to experience the joy of live theater.

To take advantage of this offer, use the code BUDDINGBARDS at checkout when purchasing tickets online, or mention it when calling the Box Office at 413.637.3353, or visiting the Box Office in person in the Tina Packer Playhouse lobby.

Co-directed by Education Program Founder Kevin G. Coleman and Jonathan Epstein, Romeo and Juliet runs through August 10 at the Arthur S. Waldstein Amphitheatre. For more information about our performance season, visit shakespeare.org.

We're overdue for another Staff Spotlight! This is Caitlin Kraft, Education Residency & Riotous Youth Programs Manager. Caitlin (she/her) first came to Shakespeare & Company in 2010 as a participant of the Center for Actor Training. After assisting with the Fall Festival of Shakespeare in 2011 and witnessing the magic of that program, she has worked with the Education Program ever since.

A wearer of many hats, Caitlin has worked as an Educator, Actor, Director, Graphic Designer, and Copywriter, and is proud to have found an artistic home amongst the community of the Shakespeare & Company Education Program. She has taught in most of the Education programs, working with young actors ages 3-20, including the Fall Festival of Shakespeare, Shakespeare & Young Company, Riotous Youth, numerous in-school Residencies and Workshops, Shakespeare in the Courts, and as a performer in their Schools Tour of Shakespeare.

Selected acting credits include: Taming of the Shrew (Grumio, Widow); Hamlet (Gertrude, Gravedigger); Love’s Labor’s Lost (Boyet); Othello (Emilia, Roderigo); A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Helena, Quince; Hippolyta, Snug); Emperor of the Moon (Mopsophil); The Servant of Two Masters (Smeraldina); Tartuffe (Elmire); Cymbeline (Pisanio). Caitlin holds a B.A. in Theatre from Roger Williams University, and trained with the Shakespeare & Company Conservatory.

But her favorite role yet? Mom to her two-year-old son, Bennett.

This Tour runs February 16 — May 1, 2026. This production is suitable for middle and high school audiences, as well as for colleges and communities. Contact Tour Manager Kirstin Daniel at [email protected] for more information, and to book your 2026 Tour date today!
