How beautiful life is when the main focus is being together. When the small details are simply laughing and long hugs. I believe that is where the magic happens. Courtney and Liz wanted their people to be the focus. So that’s what we did. We slowed down, left the itinerary open and let romance and adventure take its course. Now… the part I really just gotta make mention, since their theme was “togetherness” their ceremony was a circle with four quadrants each representing a chapter of their lives. In that quadrant was someone to speak of those memories and that landmark. Also- get this! They canoed in while everyone was on the main deck (I can’t wait to show you the video!) and then they stood in the middle of the circle while their guests danced in. Truly, the most fun ceremony. I didn’t see one person that didn’t let loose, and let their hearts (and dancing shoes) lead the way. So if you want beautiful photos, memories for all guests that last a lifetime, take it from them, focus on being together. (And get Flightless Bird photograph!) You won’t regret it. See you on the creek!

I know when you think of a wedding on the creek it’s always about centering around the creek and summertime. But what happens in the winter time can you still get married on the creek so glad you asked I actually did! It was warm it was cozy. It was filled with oyster roast and laughed around the fire. But what if you made your wedding romantic but with a Christmas touch. With the activities, not being tubing and swimming, but being cookie making? Like this wedding one of the activities one of the days was the simply watch Christmas movies drink mimosas and make Christmas cookies. What a great tradition to be wrapped around a wedding. I think it’s a perfect way to bring both families together to celebrate and to keep that tradition going. I can’t wait for you to celebrate on the creek, especially with a different outlook. So whenever you’re getting married here, I’ll see you on the creek. I cannot wait for you to experience it.

If you have ever stepped foot on the property, you know the feeling. It feels like home and peace at the same time. No matter where you are from. It is where you find your heart and remember your soul. It’s magical. And I just wanted to be able to explain it. The magic behind it. What we strive each and everyday to give. Because… well… life is hard. And I believe a little bit of love and hospitality goes a long way. And maybe… if it spreads… things might look a little different. When I got the idea to attempt@to tell you, I had to go to Wedding & Elopement Photo + Video | FL & NC- because if you have ever gotten a chance to speak with them… they know how to love on people. You just feel like family and comfort when you are around them. They know our foundation, our love for people and hold the same values. And when they came to shoot… their love is shown in all they do. They nailed it. They showed what I wanted to tell you. The behind the scenes. The why. That’s the whole point of having a wedding celebration last for a couple of days. It’s because you get time to meet the other side of the family or maybe have long conversations with a cousin. You haven’t talked to in a couple years because life is taking you to the other side of the country or maybe even out of the country. That is what a multi day wedding is all about. Yes is it you walking down the aisle and an absolute dream yes but it’s more than that. I really loved this weekend and how they intentionally make sure that the families got a chance to meet each other and create lifelong life relationships as well. This rehearsal dinner was centered around good conversation and good food. I can’t wait for you to experience it. See you on the creek! Also in case you were wondering and are still wanting to get married in 2027 it’s not too late. We have a special discount going on for February so if you love warm and cozy that’s for you. Jumping in the river in your wedding dress is something, I believe is so freeing. Something (that my mama might say 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ …this child is wild) But hey! Isn’t that what the youngest child is for 😉 that’s what the creek is about. Being free, wild, and yourself. A chance for all of your people to be together. To tell your story but also write a new chapter. A new memory. Core memory for sure. I can’t wait for you to experience it! Thanks for capturing these “oh so heartthrob” of a moment photos… guuurrrrllll 😅😅

Ah! It’s February on the creek! Stay tuned and keep reading for the discount part! What’s better than one ceremony? You guessed it two ceremonies! One of my favorite things is watching two cultures come together and the sweet humans did just that. They combine Navajo tradition with American tradition and the great thing about it is this was in February where winter is still semi in the air but spring is fully coming. (You can tell by there attire :)) on Friday they had a Navajo ceremony and on Saturday they had the traditional American ceremony. Truly symbolizing two cultures coming together. So this is what February on the creek looks like and guess what because of this month of love let’s throw down a discount for those dates DM me if you wanna know more. My type of wedding is the wedding that it’s slow. It’s intentional there’s a little sprinkles of nostalgia. There’s times for little things like a snow cone break for everyone or a movie on the beach. There’s time for a long walk and to sit in the hot tub and chat. There’s more time to enjoy that walk in a beautiful dress Creekside with the one you love. Because that’s one Wedding should be it should be intentional. It should be a time for everyone to celebrate to enjoy. It should tell your story. It should tell every chapter of your life. And you should be present. That’s the whole point of Weddings here on the creek to be slow to be intentional and to tell your story that’s the whole lie behind the multiple day Wedding. I can’t wait for you to experience it.
