Can a heart be broken and full at the same time? While we lost most of our personal belongings with my parents losing every single personal item except the muddy clothes off their back, we watched Wilson roar her angry head and pour through our houses. But we also watched community bond and families become one. We watched people love us and we loved back. We watched family meals by candlelight and learned the human species isn’t so evil when you have a tribe this strong. We watched our hearts become even more full than they were and we are continuing to watch love pour out and Wilson creek draws her claws back and returns to her normal clear and beautiful self. So while this river might look a little different and a little more wider, our hearts grew stronger and love grew deeper. While this tragedy appears to be life altering in a negative way, we are choosing to let it alter our lives in a positive way as we watch humans love solely to love. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Jeremy and I would not be the family and people we are with out you. Seriously! On another note: I will keep you updated on the progress made as tomorrow we will venture into my personal home and start scraping mud from the floor to try to salvage items. If you want to help please let me know or simply come up! We will always have a good@laugh, conversation, and some cold water available. See you on the creek!
