This one was SO special to my heart, and I know I say that all the time, but this one really, really was. 🤍
Not just because Jess and Jorge are our neighbors, but because the more I get to know these two, the more I realize some friendships aren’t just meant to be a season of your life. They’re the ones that turn into a lifetime.
It was such an honor to get to be behind the scenes for something this personal, especially because they’re not just clients anymore, they’re our friends. And let me tell you, remaining professional while watching these two exchange vows was HARD. I definitely cried a smidge. The words, the emotion, and the effort put into making this moment so meaningful was just so touching. These two are the REAL deal, and anyone who meets them can see it. The love is just THAT obvious.
And getting to do a wedding alongside my own husband? NEXT LEVEL. 🥹 I think Cali might be out of a job because apparently we make a pretty dang good team. 😂🤍
Jess, thank you for trusting me with something so special, Boo. (Even if you’ve officially got me saying Boo again!)
It hasn’t been that long, but sometimes all it takes is a few couch chill sessions, lots of salads, and realizing you’ve somehow found your people. 😘

Meet Kristin Thorup. 👋🏼

Founder, CEO & Lead Creative behind Cali Grace Occasions — but honestly, I’m so much more than the title.

I’m a mama of three, a lifelong overthinker, a recovering people-pleaser, a professional problem-solver, and the girl who somehow decided that planning weddings and events sounded like a good idea… and then turned it into a business I’ve been building for over a decade. 😂

Cali Grace started as a side hustle in 2012 and grew into something I’m insanely proud of. I don’t just plan pretty parties. I create experiences. I obsess over the details, calm the chaos, hype up my brides, fix the things nobody else even knows went wrong, and somehow make it all look effortless.

I’m very much a “tell me what you’re dreaming up and I’ll figure out how to make it happen” kind of girl.

And these photos? They’re not just branding photos.

They’re a little reminder that somewhere between being a wife, a mom, a business owner, and taking care of everybody else… I’m still HER. ❤️
