The seasons are changing, and our front entrance got a little autumn makeover!
Sometimes it's the little details that make a space feel special. We love getting our little corner of Downtown Lemont dressed up for the season. 🧡

The colors in this setup are absolutely stunning. Rich teal, vibrant orange, warm gold, and beautiful florals came together to transform 223 Main into something truly special.

We know we're not the only event space and you're probably going to shop around for your wedding space.

But before booking an event space, engaged couples should look beyond how beautiful it is and understand how their wedding will actually work there.

👉Here are some things to consider or ask your potential venue:

●Capacity depends on your layout.
A venue that holds 100 people for a cocktail party may accommodate fewer for a seated dinner with a dance floor.

●The rental fee may be only part of the cost. Ask about cleaning, staffing, security, overtime, service charges, and other required fees.

●Know exactly what’s included. Tables, chairs, linens, place settings, décor, and sound equipment aren’t always included in the rental.

●Setup and cleanup take time.
Find out when vendors can arrive, when guests must leave, and when everything needs to be removed.

●Vendor policies can affect your budget. Ask whether you can choose your own caterer, bartender, DJ, and other vendors or must use an approved list.

●Understand the alcohol policy.
Who supplies it, who serves it, and are there corkage fees or restrictions?

●Check the flow of the entire celebration. Where will the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing happen? Who handles any room changes?

●Have a weather backup. If any portion is outdoors, ask to see the indoor alternative and confirm it fits your guest count.

●Think about guest comfort. Consider parking, accessibility, restrooms, temperature control, and nearby accommodations.

●Ask about decorating restrictions. Candles, hanging decorations, confetti, and attaching items to walls may have limitations.

●Know who will run the space that day. A venue contact and a wedding coordinator may have very different responsibilities.

●Understand the booking terms before paying. Review deposits, payment deadlines, cancellation and rescheduling policies, and any insurance requirements.
