It’s my birthday today, so I’m a little late posting. But, here is one of my favorite, and more recent, discoveries is The Two Mrs. Carrolls.

Absolutely one of my favorite suspense films! It gets a little creepy visually, so you may not want to watch this with kiddos.

Barbara Stanwyck is thrilling, and Humphrey Bogart like I’ve never seen him before! Perfection! All that a very fun supporting cast.

You can rent this movie for $2.99 on Amazon, Apple or Fandango, or buy it for $9.99 on the same services. Report back here after you’ve watched and let me know what you think!

Wait Until Dark has always been a favorite of mine! I especially love to watch it at Halloween time. If you haven’t seen this jump-scare gem, let me be the first to tell you, “You must!”

Audrey Hepburn plays a blind girl who unwittingly falls into trouble drug dealers. Audrey was nominated for best leading actress, and I’m really not sure how she lost out to Katherine Hepburn in Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner. (Which is a phenomenal film, but, personally, this one should’ve been Audrey’s.)

Alan Arkin was asked if he was disappointed he didn’t win an award for his EXTREMELY well done and creepy role in this film, and his reply was, “No. You don’t win awards for being mean to Audrey Hepburn. 😂 He’s not wrong. But, again, he definitely deserved a win for this role.

Richard Crenna also played a phenomenal role. This is definitely one you don’t want to miss!

You can rent this movie for $3.99 on Amazon, Apple and Fandango. But, just buy it for $9.99 on any of the same platforms. You won’t be sorry!

Let kids be kids!

My motto for a good shoot with kids! I’ve been directing children’s theater at my kids school for 8 years now, and those experiences have taught me that you can’t make kids do anything. But, you can make things look like a party and they are invited.

If you have poses you want the kids to do, that’s great! But, they will probably only listen to you if they trust you. How do you gain their trust? By letting them take the lead.

I like to do a mixture of posed and playful shots when I have kids at the shoot. If you’re looking for something more like this, let’s talk!
