We're Hiring: Catering Operations Coordinator (Part-Time)
Rosendale Events Nova and Roots 657 Catering are a fast-growing catering and events operation in Northern Virginia, and we're looking for someone who loves keeping things running smoothly.
This is a chance to get in early with a growing team and help shape how we work.
What you'll do:
• Load out, set up and break down catering events
• Put away and organize equipment, supplies and inventory
• Keep our kitchen and warehouse clean, organized and inspection-ready
• Help with logistics, receiving and day-to-day operations paperwork
Who we're looking for:
• Catering or banquet experience
• Strong systems and process experience: you see a messy storeroom and already know how to fix it
• Reliable, organized and comfortable working independently
• ServSafe certification a plus
The details:
• Part-time to start, paid hourly at a competitive rate
• Mostly flexible hours, with event days and some weekends
• For the right person, a clear path to full-time or a salaried role as we grow

Smoked turkey, the sides, gravy, cranberry relish, cornbread and pie. Fully cooked and chilled with reheating instructions, so you pick it up the day before and the rest of the day is yours.
Two packages. The Table feeds six. The Gathering Table handles ten to twelve. Add à la carte sides, smoked meats and extra desserts to either one.
100 orders. 24 whole birds. That’s not a marketing number, that’s what we can cook properly.
Order by Friday, November 20. Pick up Wednesday, November 25 in Leesburg.

Thanksgiving 2026, ordering opens Monday, September 21.

We're keeping it small on purpose. 100 dinners. 24 whole hickory-smoked turkeys. That's the whole run.

Everything comes chilled and ready to reheat, smoked turkey, our sides, and pie. You handle the last twenty minutes. We handle the two days before it.

Mark the date. When they're gone, they're gone.

Roots 657 founder, Chef Rich Rosendale, CMC, is teaching a two-day BBQ Systems & Technique class right here in Leesburg, joined on Day 2 by Ken Hess of County Smoak, one of the region’s top pitmasters.

And you do not have to be a professional chef to attend.

This class is open to anyone who loves barbecue and wants to get better at it, whether you’re cooking for friends and family in the backyard, trying to finally nail your brisket, or just want to spend two days learning from two people who have spent years perfecting the craft.

You’ll get into brisket, ribs, Alabama chicken, sauces, sides, smoker techniques, seasoning, slicing, fire management, and plenty more.

Many of you know us from our years at Roots 657, and while the restaurant chapter has evolved, our passion for food, hospitality, and teaching continues every day at Forklift Virginia.

One of the most rewarding things we do is introduce young people to cooking through our culinary camps. Watching kids learn new skills, gain confidence, and create amazing dishes from scratch is something our team looks forward to every summer.

Our first Kids' Summer Culinary Camp (June 22–26) is now down to just 4 spots remaining, and our next two camp sessions are also filling up quickly.

Throughout the week, campers learn knife skills, kitchen safety, baking, pizza making, global cuisines, and more—all while having fun in a professional culinary environment.

A heartfelt thank you to the many families who have supported us over the years, from Roots 657 to Forklift Virginia. We love seeing familiar faces return and welcoming new ones into our culinary community.

If you know a young aspiring chef, we'd love to have them join us this summer.
