Eden Park is in Cincinnati, where you find splendid views of the Ohio River and can look over to Kentucky from the Overlook. The Overlook has a small area of lakes and trails to walk. We enjoyed walking the short trails and enjoyed the lake and the small waterfall. Of course, we enjoyed the view from the overlook. There are restrooms, picnic tables and a small playground at this area also....

Today, my blog is not about Ohio, but about a trip to Maryland. We visited last weekend and my cousin, and his wife were excellent tour guides. Today, my blog is taking us beyond the backyard, as we traveled to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg over Memorial Day weekend. We actually camped while there but didn't spend a whole lot of time at the campgrounds. We stayed at the Foothills RV Campgrounds. The Edge of Appalachia Nature Preserve is just outside of West Union, Ohio. It took about an hour to get there from Hillsboro, but it was a beautiful spring day, and it wasn't hot outside before we got there. There is an overlook to the Creek's Bend River and a place to put your canoe in the river. The only thing is we didn't have a canoe....

Finally, the weather is getting nice and thoughts of getting outside more often keep dancing in our heads. Some of you live in cities and others live in rural areas, but I am sure where you go shopping or do business in town, there is a park somewhere nearby I live in the little town of Leesburg, Ohio where there is a village park with a place to walk or ride bicycle, a pavilion for picnics, and a stream that goes through for fishing....

My Bible Study group and I decided as part of our study, we would visit the Creation Museum in Kentucky. It is about twenty to 30 minutes from the Ohio-Kentucky Border. The day started off with rain but turned out to be a beautiful day. I wish we had known how long it would take to get just through the museum part, because we never made it to the Butterfly Gardens, the Botanical Gardens or to see the animals....
