Sunrise Senior Living Conference 2022 was an absolute blast in Chicago! Nothing like seeing a conference back in-person since the start of the pandemic. Everyones had such high energy, ready to show us what Sunrise is all about! We were so thankful to be back working with to create a very wholesome film! That (yes) made us all tear up when watching!

The opening of the Salamander Washington DC was another amazing we captured in September. The Salamander purchased the Mandarin Oriental Hotel and transformed the hotel into their style and luxury of their Middleburg resort to an already swanky hotel! The team loved experiencing the grand opening and celebrating new beginnings with !

It's been a min...so let's catch you guys all up with what's been happening at SkipperFilms! In early September the team made their way to Las Vegas for the SANS Network Security 2022 Conference! We captured interviews, drank lots of coffee and tea, gambled, and explored the city. We love creating a edit and love traveling to fun locations like Vegas!

Last week we got to combine some of our favorite hobbies including shooting video, going through sprinklers, and eating some ice cream! Cool to see Nicecream bring tanks of liquid nitrogen to make ice cream on the spot! Stay tuned for the video!
It’s wild that we were at Salamander Resort & Spa exactly 1 year ago filming the American Ballet Theatre, and we’re heading back there tonight to film the groundbreaking ceremony for the Residences at Salamander!
THATS A WRAP! Spent the week in Kansas City shooting some landscaping for High Prairie Landscape Group, and Landscape Leadership! Beautiful weather, awesome company, creative shooting, this one had it all!
For May and June, CJ joined the SkipperFilm team to complete his high school capstone requirement! Throughout his internship, CJ joined us on our filming and editing days, experiencing the wacky and chaotic energy of our team.
After crushing the first 2 days of shooting gorgeous landscape lighting and getting incredible footage, we shaved off an entire half day of shooting here in Memphis! So we did what any sane crew does, change flights, get 3 hours of sleep and hop on the 6am back to DC 🙌🏻 🎥✈️

Happy Belated Belida Birthday to one of the best people in the world! It is no surprise that Brian is an ongoing impact on our team, he is filled with ambition, determination, and positivity! Brian is just simply the best. We are so lucky to call him our best friend and office dad, forever reminding all of us to stay hydrated and fed during shoots! The SkipperFilms team wouldn’t be the same without him!
Last week we filmed a promo video for Virginia Montessori Academy and our childlike energy came to life! We also got a few little helpers, some of these kids definitely have a future in filmmaking!
Working with Audi is always a great time for SkipperFilms! The past month we’ve been shooting locally, but in a few days, the team will be off to Florida experiencing yet another incredible Audi Twin Cup Festival! LEGGO!
Two day shoot for INTA’s Annual Meeting in Washington D.C! The team photographed, filmed, and edited on site, while enjoying some 24/7 conference coffee and tea! So happy to see that in-person conferences are continuing to return!

Client edit sessions today At the office with Norther VA Criminal Justice Academy. We’ve been a post production machine lately, with all the November projects we shot!
And thus caps off our 2nd consecutive week of travel shoots. ABQ > IAD, we’re ready to be home, but super happy with the footage we shot!

This was a fun one from last week with The Building People, LLC. Shoot Tuesday, First draft Wednesday, Final output Thursday. That's the timeline you get when you plan ahead. Storyboarding, shot lists, scripting, and a solid vision going into a shoot day makes it so there are very few questions left to be answered! Awesome company, fun team to work with!

We landed this project in a wave of excitement on March 1st, our first shoot day was on April 20th, and just over 5 months later, we’ve completed videos for all 12 towns and villages in Loudoun County. First day of production, we filmed Jonathan’s interview for Waterford, and as I ran out to get some pickup shots of the Waterford fair to wrap shooting for the ENTIRE project, who do I ceremoniously run into 30 seconds after I stop recording for the last time? Jonathan! Y’all this was an EXPERIENCE! Start to finish, we got a first class tour of what makes Loudoun County the best place to live and visit. We can’t thank Visit Loudoun enough for allowing us this amazing opportunity. Beth, Jen, Katie, Doug, and the whole crew really gave us the resources for success, and this project has been nothing but. Thank you all for being a part of this very fun, very enlightening journey through our beautiful county! ❤️🎥
