The start of a new school year has always felt more like the new year holiday to me. The renewed zeal for planning and preparing for the future. Really focusing in on the tasks at hand and kicking it into high gear.

Maybe it’s because when you give me extra rest time, I’m often a sloth (yes, it’s the enneagram 9 in me). But like a really cute one that reads so many books and putters. And truly a required time for me.

I am so lucky to have women in my life whom are wise and wonderful and push me to be better. Not in a comparison trap kind of way but in an inspirational kind of way. Not in a do more kind of way but in a “hey Liz, can you outsource that so you can focus on x” kind of way. In a how can I support you kind of way. In a please laugh with me at this ridiculousness kind of way. Thanks gals.

This was my first bouquet of flowers I sold in spring of 2023. My favorite flowers. Daffodils.

I remember how nervous I felt to put myself and my ideas out in the world. Especially in the midst of learning everything on the fly. Quite literally jumping and then learning to swim. Leaving the comforts (and paycheck) of my corporate job and leaning into my creative side.

And boy, has life and this business evolved in these few short years. It reminds me to keep moving forward and enjoy the process of becoming. Stay present. Work hard. Be kind to others. And sometimes, just sometimes all that hard work and integrity begin to pay off.

It is truly the most beautiful evening with the cooler temps and breeze. Not to mention that sunset. Life isn’t always like this, but we’ll take it. Enjoying this glimmer.

Last call for lisianthus this season — once it’s gone, it’s gone, so grab it while you can!

Also on the table this week: $10 zinnia bunches, because summer really said “here, have more flowers” and I’m not about to argue.

And a little news for our Springfield, MO friends 👀 — we’re making a quick pitstop in town this Saturday with wrapped bouquets. We’ve got an abundance of blooms and a lot of family and friends over that way, so we figured… why not share the wealth?

If you’re a Springfieldian and want a bouquet, reply to our newsletter (or DM us!on Instagram) and we’ll coordinate a pick-up in town. First time we’ve tried this, so let’s see how it goes!
