The Leeds Historical Society is inviting volunteers to help with a Work Day at the historic Rowan Oaks Home located at

1900 Montevallo Road, Leeds, Alabama.

Date: Saturday March 14th

Time: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM

You are welcome to join us for as much or as little time as your schedule allows. Even an hour of help makes a big difference!

We will be working both inside and outside the home preparing the property for upcoming events and preserving this important piece of Leeds history.

Volunteer Needs

Outdoor Volunteers

Bring lawn tools if you have them
Gloves recommended
Tasks include yard work, trimming, and general cleanup
Indoor Volunteers

Cleaning supplies will be provided
Feel free to bring your favorite supplies if you prefer
Tasks include general cleaning and organizing
Rowan Oaks is one of the community’s treasured historic homes, and volunteer days like this help us keep it beautiful for weddings, community gatherings, and historical programs.

Thank You to the ladies of the Dirt Dabbers Garden Club and the Cahaba Valley Garden Club, the Rown House is all beautifully decorated for Christmas.

Come see these beautiful decorations and tour the Rowan House for our Holiday Open House this Sunday from 2 pm - 4 pm. The Bass House will be open as well!! 🎄🎄🎄

It was a beautiful day in June for a mermaid party for this sweet girl! She hosted a fun bounce house for her friends!!!
