Sometimes it’s just a God thing… a last minute call out for a drink vendor due to a cancellation led to us joining up with God Speed America at Life Church Eagle Creek for an awesome Cars for Christ Car Show yesterday. The cars were impressive but the people are were what stood out the most for me! Great crowd and boy did they keep us busy! The whole event was great and well organized… the cars, the music, the people… chef’s kiss! We look forward to more events with them.

The mistakes we see most often during cocktail hour, ranked by how much they hurt the night.

Treating it like a holding pattern. Cocktail hour isn't a waiting room before the reception. It's the first hour your guests get to talk to each other after watching you cry through your vows. The energy you set here decides what the rest of the night feels like.

Booking a generic bar package without thinking about who's actually drinking. Your dad wants bourbon. Your maid of honor wants something with elderflower in it. Your seven non-drinking friends want a real mocktail, not a Diet Coke in a wine glass. A flat package misses all of them.

Putting the bar somewhere your guests aren't. If your ceremony was outside and your bar is inside, you'll spend thirty minutes pulling people off the lawn. Meet them where they already are.
