Last week was busy for me, so not many updates were made, but there’s always some exciting progress happening in the garden! It’s hard to keep toddlers entertained inside with all this rain, but it sure is a blessing for all the flowers.🌧️🌸

I’ll be back at the Lawrenceburg Farmers Market this coming weekend and will have more beautiful dahlia bouquets mixed with some classic filler flowers like cosmos, strawflower and snapdragons.💖 I hope everyone has a wonderful week!

💖Dahlias and color variation💖

Did you know dahlias have complex genetics that makes their color very fluid? Day length, temperature, stress and nutrients can cause this shift. Both pictures below are of “Crichton Honey”, a precious ball form dahlia that is the prettiest combo of pink, yellow and peach. She is a great tuber producer and such a productive plant- my first to bloom this year! These blooms are on two separate plants, and budded up at different times. She made so many tubers that I had enough to sell a few at the Farmers Market! I’m excited to spend another season admiring her.☀️🌸💖

I’ll be at the Lawrenceburg Farmers Market tomorrow morning from 9-1! There’s a slight chance of rain showers, so don’t forget your rain jacket and umbrella just in case. 🌧️ I’m still working with a limited number of bouquets as I wait for the flowers to really pick up!

I’ll have a couple dahlia bouquets, a couple hydrangea bouquets and a couple minis available- come visit me at my pink tent for some fresh, locally grown flowers.☺️💖 Appreciate all my flower friends!

I’ll be at the Lawrenceburg Farmers Market this Saturday, May 30th from 9-1!☀️💐

I won’t be at the market the first Saturday in June (the 6th) as I’ll be busy with my little gymnasts that day.🤸🏻‍♀️

As the flowers start picking up, I’ll be posting available bouquets throughout the week (limited amounts) so be on the lookout for those!🌸💖

I took advantage of the break in all the rain today and planted some more seeds- sunflowers, zinnias, so many cosmos, and some new to me celosia! 🌸 Of course, I had to do my rounds to see how everything else is doing. So many blooms about to start happening here! Thankful for all this rain- we need it as this summer heat starts rolling in.☀️💖
