Running a business comes with wins, yes! But can we talk about the losses? In this case, the darn weather! Had the opportunity to setup a balloon installment for the PBS Fall Community Festival this past weekend! I always love doing balloon work so I was super excited to make my clients vision come to life for the festival entrance!

I took a chance and tried new ideas and used a frame i’d never worked with before. GIRL, the wind single handedly tried to put me out of business. Okay.. I might be just a little dramatic but between the wind and limited amount of time I had for setup, I was pretty upset with the outcome. I was full of anxiety and stressed because I never ever want to disappoint a client. But luckily, Marie (client) was very happy with the way everything turned out.

Ultimately it was a teaching moment. I learned two important things. 1. Stick to what you know. 2.Don’t be so damn hard on yourself. I’m still figuring things out 3 years later and that’s okay. We must move forward. And best believe, I’ll definitely be prepared next time.

This is the final result. Look at the pumpkins!! I was very proud of those!
