1st & foremost I will like to thank GOD almighty & the universe for allowing my vision 2 take place. I mean everything aligned for me the way it was meant to be. It was like rapid fire, I had a vision, I wrote it down, I spoke it into existence & all of a sudden I was supported by these two wonderful strong headed women.. & here we are.

So thank you GOD.

I want to thank my mom and my beautiful 11 year old boy. I do this for y’all ♥️

Thanks Jessie () for being a major support in my project and being my right hand in the process and Marylin (.flower.co) for allowing my vision to take place in her beautiful displayed venue.

My name is Chef Elena and I’m a certified street cook (sounds funky when I say it out-loud) but with years of experience in different restaurants I enjoy calling it for what it is. Being a self-motivated woman in this industry, man is it tough; being undermine, experiencing sexism, sacrificing weekends and holidays, time away from family.. only the strong survive …but it is in the kitchen where I’m meant to be, inspiring new b’s and youngins, even teaching old dogs new tricks and vice versa.. It where I let go of all my hardships and transmute that energy to creative dishes. It’s where I feel the most comfortable. I did not attend culinary school, im not an award winning chef or a master of molecular gastronomy ( not yet at least ) I have a passion for the art of cooking & a niche for blending flavors.

& that is why I created a multicultural menu; with a twist.. I derived from my dominican roots & infused it with the lovely delicate french cuisine .. I think the 4 components to creating a well balanced dish are..

Salt, citrus, sweet, & a little heat.

Greetings, followers.

Chef Elena here, your one and only.. There are obvious upsides and downsides to being a entrepreneurs. If you know, you know. But the biggest? The luxury of choice.
I choose to create this amazing after school program, bc there wasn’t one being ran around the area truthfully to enlighten the youth with a life skill they can take forever by a latina chef. I had a vision, but in order to stay afloat you need a steady revenue & with food inflation.. I ain’t gotta say more bc we all feeling it. Despite working two jobs and trying to be the best mom I could be, I ran myself to thin but there’s also a-lot that went down behind the scene. It got tough but not impossible. I made a-lot of sacrifices to mold my brand, unfortunately life got in the way & while the majority of the world has little to no say in what I can and cannot do, I am going to step down & take a much needed break, but remember it is not goodbye. Just a mental/physical/financial reassessment towards my self journey. I will find ways to make up for lost time & network with whom ever is fit to continue to fulfill my purpose.. Life is what you make of it. I’m utterly happy to admit that I inspired your littles ones to go on a culinary adventure with me and used my energy to cultivate greatness and educate them. S/o to all the parents that supported my dreams, especially the loyal moms who I build a relationship with, y’all the truly the cutest. I love y’all. Without y’all it wouldn’t be possible.
Man, s/o to those that help me along the way. Big shout out to for seeing my vision and wanting it to be as successful as we saw it.
They say money is the measure of success, I ain’t got none lol and yet I feel so accomplished because what I envisioned for the community and these kids, was my fulfilled purpose.

ℍ𝕒𝕡𝕡𝕪 𝟙𝕤𝕥 𝕪𝕖𝕒𝕣 anniversary to KIDZ IN THE KITCHEN.. a year from today we decided to share the love and knowledge we have for food to the youth of my community. Since I grew up in this community we knew exactly what these kids needed. We made sure to set the right tone in my cooking class, taking one way tickets with the kidz on a culinary adventure to inspire interest on a everyday life skill they will take forever. We are happy to build relationships with parents who invest in their child interest as much as my passion. I’ve stretched myself as far as expanding my services outside of my community, within school districts, and within programs that help me set my vision in place. Seeing my business grows, giving back, evolving, having the kidz express their gratitude towards how they feel about my program made it possible to achieve this milestone. After all, without the kidz, without a community to host and support my business, this anniversary never would have happened.
