❤️ A LITTLE TASTE OF NOSTALGIA AT THIRTY’S ❤️

Sometimes, food is so much more than just a meal. It’s memories, it’s love, and it’s the feeling of being back in your Bubba’s kitchen. ❤️

Lately, I’ve been missing my Bubba terribly, and when I find myself missing her, I often think about the wonderful meals she used to make. So this week, I decided to bring a little piece of her kitchen to Thirty’s with a nostalgic meal that holds a special place in my heart. 🥰

Introducing BUBBA’S SLAVISH STEAK! ❤️

If you know, you know! 😉 And if you don’t, you’re in for a treat!

Think tender, savory beef tips smothered in a special sauce with onions and mushrooms, served with all the fixings that made it feel like home:

🥩 Bubba’s Slavish Steak with onions, mushrooms & that special sauce
🥔 Creamy mashed potatoes
🌽 Sweet corn
🥒 Her traditional sliced cucumbers in a tangy vinegar dressing

It’s a good old-fashioned, homestyle meal made with love and inspired by the woman who made so many meals and memories that I’ll cherish forever. ❤️

Sometimes, the best recipes aren’t found in a cookbook. They’re the ones passed down through generations, made from memory, and served with a whole lot of love. This one’s for you, Bubba! ❤️

A LITTLE REMINDER ABOUT WHO WE ARE AT THIRTY’S

First and foremost, we want to thank everyone who chooses to support our small family-owned restaurant. We know you have many places you could choose to eat, and it means more to us than you know when you choose Thirty’s! 😘

After an especially busy night, I personally wanted to take a moment to share a little about what goes on behind the scenes.

Thirty’s is a true scratch kitchen. We don’t pull frozen meals out of a box, pop them in a microwave, and send them to your table. We use fresh ingredients and prepare our food to order, just as you would in your own kitchen. That is something we take great pride in, but it also means that when we are extremely busy, ticket times can be longer than any of us would like.

We have two sides to our restaurant, a dining room and a bar, but behind the scenes, we are working together to serve everyone. Our wood-fired pizza oven is practically its own kitchen, while our back-of-house kitchen prepares the rest of our menu. When both sides are full and orders are coming in from every direction, our cooks are working hard to get every meal out as quickly as they can without sacrificing the quality you expect from us.

Something else we take great pride in is accommodating our guests’ needs. From gluten-friendly options to carefully addressing the needs of guests with celiac disease and other dietary restrictions, we put thought and care into preparing meals that people can enjoy with confidence. Those extra steps matter, and they take time.

We also have an incredible team of servers who work hard to take care of our guests, keep drinks flowing, answer questions, communicate special requests, and make your experience enjoyable, even on our busiest nights.

We understand that nobody likes waiting for their food. We don’t like keeping you waiting, either! But when our restaurant is packed, a 45- to 55-minute ticket time can happen.

We have a choice: we could hold people at the door and leave tables empty until the kitchen catches up, or we can welcome you in, get you seated, and let you enjoy a drink or an appetizer while our team works through the orders. We choose to welcome you in because we want you here!

We know there are larger chain restaurants where guests may wait an hour just to get a table. At Thirty’s, we do our best to get you seated and taken care of, but being seated doesn’t mean your made-from-scratch meal will be ready immediately, especially when we’re at capacity.

We ask for a little patience, a little understanding, and a little kindness toward the people working hard to serve you. Our cooks, servers, and entire team are real people who care about what they do. They want your food to be delicious, your experience to be enjoyable, and you to leave happy.

We may not be a big chain restaurant, and we may not have a huge kitchen, but we have a whole lot of heart. Every meal is made with care, and every guest matters to us.

Thank you for supporting local, for supporting our family and our amazing staff, and for understanding that sometimes fresh food made with care simply takes time.

We just wanted to take a minute to clear something up because we’ve had a few people ask — the food photos you see on Thirty’s page are REAL! They are not AI-created images, stock photos, or pictures pulled from somewhere else.

We are incredibly fortunate to have a very talented photographer right here on our Thirty’s team! ❤️

Sydney is not only one of our amazing waitresses and our front & back of house team leader, but she also owns her own photography business, Sydney Carns Photography.

She has an incredible eye for capturing our food exactly as it is when it leaves our kitchen — beautifully plated, homemade and ready to enjoy! 📸🍽️

We’re sorry to those of you who didn’t get a chance to enjoy it — Jason, I’m looking at you! 😂 But don’t worry… I’ve got you!
