ATTITUDE OF GRATITUDE

This is the time
Time for Gratitude
Grateful for another day
In this one precious life

This is the time
To remember, again
Each blessing, big and small
That fills our days

Watching the clouds in the sky
Slowing moving, floating by
Creating magical shapes
Always changing, never the same

Memories of sunlight dancing on the water
Patterns of light sparkling brightly
Dazzling one’s eyes with so much beauty
Filling the soul with delight

Seeing the smiles of a child
Enjoying the simple pleasures of life
Pushing along a toy in the sand
Creating amazing stories along the way

Can we simply slow down
Just a little bit more
For a few moments, right now
Noticing those often forgotten details

The grace of one’s body
Breathing life into itself
Effortlessly, moment by moment
Softly moving us forward

Step by step, choosing to see
Seeing with new eyes
The mystery of life
All around us

Accepting the perfection of it all
Nothing to change
Nothing to do, just being
Feeling into this moment

Accepting even the challenges in our lives collectively
More than ever before, in front of our eyes
Knowing that this too will pass
Carrying us all on our life’s journey with courage
