Today, the grills will fire up, pools will open, and families will gather. But before the day unfolds, let’s take a quiet, heavy moment to remember why this day exists.
Memorial Day isn’t just a three-day weekend or the unofficial start of summer. It is a sacred pause.
It’s for the empty chairs at the dinner table. It’s for the mothers and fathers who buried their children, the spouses who became widows and widowers too soon, and the kids who only know their parents through faded photographs and folded flags.
Behind every row of uniform white headstones is a story. A person who laughed, who had dreams, who felt fear, but who ultimately answered a call greater than themselves. They gave up all of their tomorrows so that we could have our todays.
To the fallen: You are not forgotten. Your legacy lives on in the freedom we breathe every single day.
Standard text cannot measure the depth of our gratitude. May we live grateful, live intentionally, and never take a single day for granted. 🇺🇸✨
