According to a flash industry poll published by the GBTA | Global Business Travel Association (GBTA), the corporate mindset has undergone a massive mid-year pivot:

• The Risk Factor: Nearly 8 in 10 travel stakeholders now cite global instability and operational friction as their absolute top travel-related risk.
• The Volume Drop: 28% of corporate travel buyers now expect their overall trip volumes to decrease through the rest of the year, a sharp jump from the 16% who predicted a decline back in January.
• The Budget Paradox: Despite fewer trips, overall spending expectations remain high due to inflation and rising fuel costs.

The takeaway for executive leadership is clear: Enterprises are taking fewer trips, but they are investing much more into each one. When face-to-face meetings become highly selective, the stakes for every single itinerary skyrocket. And that is exactly why ground transportation can no longer be left to chance, algorithms, or unvetted ride apps.
