Be yourself. It may not always look or feel like it but music has room for you to be you. Art is diverse and can only truly exist when the artist creates from heart, instead of trying to replicate another’s success. That’s what AI does and we are all so much better than AI. Be yourself, practice your art, and share it with the world.

Part of being a DJ is setting the vibe and tone, but this happens before you play your first song. Vjs, promoters, teammates, all want to work with DJs who can match their professionalism. Being late, not checking the equipment, or not having a backup media source is a great way to look you don’t know what you’re doing. Avoid these mistakes to be taken seriously.

Crazy how something so small can be such a divider. There’s a lot that goes into building a set. I try to focus on the important stuff like bringing whoever is listening on a musical journey filled with callbacks and surprises.
