Take what you need! 🧡 Which one speaks to you the most?

For me it’s .. “Your voice deserves to be heard”

I’ve dealt with being silenced a lot in my life & a part of my journey has been discovering my voice. I will no longer allow myself to be silent. Whenever I feel that familiar frog creeping up in my throat I think of a quote that I love, “speak your truth, even if your voice shakes” it’s just a reminder that my voice matters ☺️

“Let Brotherly Love Continue” Hebrews 13:1

The Bible speaks volumes about how we treat each other and our responsibility to each other. There are so many verses in the Bible about loving each other. Caring for each other.

The responsibility of caring for your brother is something that will never go away. So, what does being 'my brother’s keeper' look like today?

Maybe it’s spending time with him or helping them with their problems. There are a lot of things you can do for your brother, here is some ideas for you:

1. Give him a genuine compliment ✔️

Tell them that they look nice from time to time or compliment their clothes. This can make them feel really good about themselves

2. Encourage him ✔️

Encourage them to reach for the stars. Encourage them to be better people. These things will help them achieve more in life and to be happier people.

3. Be respectful ✔️

Being respectful will help them a lot in life and if they learn it from someone they really respect, it will become a lifelong habit.

Your mind can be completely transformed! 🤯 *Transformation Tuesday*

Romans 12:2 tells us “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God”

As a creative I was blown away to discover that our thoughts CREATE. I mean I knew I could create things in my mind but I didn’t realize the same thoughts I used to create something beautiful, can also create chaos. It took for me to understand how powerful my thoughts were to pay more attention to what I was thinking about. Especially thoughts about ME!
✨
Understanding that my thoughts influenced my emotions, which then influence my actions. I’m learning to watch how I think about myself because it affects how I show up for myself. When you accept and conceptualize a thought, it becomes a belief.

What do you believe about yourself?

I realize I was believing the things PEOPLE said about me. It took for me to get in His word to understand those are NOT the things that God said about me. If you’ve ever felt this way, I’d encourage you to spend some time in His word. Meditate on a scripture & allow God to RENEW your mind. You will be forever transformed 🙌🏽💖

Praise nurtures your child’s confidence. ✨

You can praise children of different ages for different things. You might praise a younger child for sharing or for leaving the park when asked. You can praise a teenage child for coming home at an agreed time, or for starting homework without being reminded.

By using praise, you’re showing your child how to think and talk positively about themselves. You’re helping your child learn how to recognize when they do well and feel proud of themselves.

When you feel good about your child, say so. See whether you can give your child some words of encouragement every day. The small things you say can build up over time to have a big effect on your child.
