Walking on stage every night and performing my show "The Mentalist" is only one part of my job. Long before the curtain rises, there’s another kind of magic happening behind the scenes—the endless process of dreaming up new routines, engineering secret methods, and designing and fabricating the props that make the impossible possible.
For the past three days, I practically locked myself inside my office and refused to come out until I solved a particularly stubborn prop problem. After countless hours of designing, experimenting, failing, redesigning—and 3-D printing more than 22 different prototypes—I finally cracked it!
The funny part is, most of the things I spend days—or even weeks—creating will never actually be seen by the audience. They’re carefully hidden behind the scenes, quietly doing their job while the impossible unfolds in plain sight.
And that… is where the real magic happens. 🎩✨
