Vegas Baby VEGAS!!!! Love when we are close to home, this time at & for another Allstars BBQ Series. Our NVBBQA Family was rolling deep this weekend, always good cooking alongside our Nevada fam….  Being that we already had our golden ticket for the we test some new recipes on the Rib & Chicken front. Chicken was a rough go, which colored up faster than expected in the new brine and upon finishing was not as tender as expected, back to the drawing board on that one. The new rib recipe, injection and rubs created by us did well finishing 3rd. A couple of tweaks and we will run this one full time! Our wildcard was cook perfectly and happy to say we again took 1st !

We were in Boulder City this weekend for a competition we’ve been doing since 2009 — the Best Dam BBQ, one of our favorites being so close to home!

Saturday we competed in the SCA competition and the NVBBQA People’s Choice event to help raise money and promote BBQ here in Nevada. Congrats to on the decisive People’s Choice win!

On Sunday we competed in the KCBS contest and had a solid cook. We were happy with all four meats. When awards started, we only heard our name called for brisket and thought we may not have cracked the top 10… but we were wrong — we ended up taking 3rd Place Overall!

Rolled into Rancho Cucamonga solo this weekend for another year of Allstars BBQ Series. This one is always a good time seeing a bunch of our Cali BBQ fam. We start off the morning a little rough with a late night out with the boys Friday night, but in the end we were able to finish strong and are headed back to Indy for the 2026 !!!

2nd cook of 2026 is in the books. Another home town comp this time at . Thanks to Jim Palmer and Chef Nike for putting on one hell of a contest. Our cook was on cruise control for being our 2nd of the year. Our name was called for Pork, Mac N Cheese and Dessert. I loved our ribs, but the judges thought otherwise.

Good luck to all of our family as you travel to Texas for the World Championships! Wishing everyone safe travels and great cooks. What a week!!! We are finally home after the long drive back from Kansas City and the . It was a week to remember, filled with great friends and amazing barbeque! We cooked our program and overcame the cold weather, turning in some solid scores considering the tough field of competition.

Highlights include:
• 🏆 Perfect 180 in Dessert – Carrie’s Rack City Bread Pudding
• 🍗 52nd in Chicken
• 👧 11th in Kids Q for Mia!!!!

Overall, it was one of our best BBQ weekends yet! Getting to spend the week with our BBQ ride-or-dies and was one for the books. We love and appreciate your friendship and support on our BBQ journey!

WOW!!! What a weekend at the in Indianapolis! 🔥
Still pinching myself to see if it’s real!

Day 1 — Opening round against 41 teams in 3 categories: Tailgate (sliders), Ribs, and Brisket. Our cook was flawless on the new Tommy Built Drums, and the judges agreed!
🏆 Results:

1st Overall — 98.5

Tailgate — 1st (99.125)
Ribs — 2nd (99.625)
Brisket — 4th (97.5)

Day 2 — Top 20 teams from Day 1. We played it safe with Beef Rib & Bacon Jam, finishing 11th in Wild Card but still 1st Overall (Cumulative 98.75)! That meant one thing: we were headed to Day 3 — THE RING OF FIRE 🔥

Day 3: The top 5 from Days 1 & 2 joined 5 World Champs from Memphis in May, American Royal, The Jack, and WFC. We went all in with a Tour of BBQ, representing four regions:

California – Santa Maria Tri Tip
Kansas City – Ribs & Chicken
St. Louis – Cauliflower Steak
Carolina – Pulled Pork

We faced the judges, explained our dish, took in praise and critique — and I couldn’t be prouder. Finishing 8th Overall (90.625) in that field was an honor.
