Hello Everyone,

My name is Jason Howard and I started the Glam Gives Initiative. I use to work for a wonderful organization called CSAA Insurance Group. They have taught me many things throughout the years and are excellent to their employees. During my last couple of years of employment, I joined the Diversity and Inclusion Council. However, one lesson really stuck with me. I left in December 20

16 and became co-owner of GlamSquad 702 Events Inc. This was already a successful company and they did really good work all throughout the Las Vegas strip. However, I took that one lesson and incorporated it into our business practices. Platinum Rule: Treat other’s how they want to be treated (or do unto others as they would want done to them). As soon as that was incorporated into our business practices, GlamSquad702 peaked with bookings, appointments, etc. Because of this, GlamSquad702 created it’s own D&I Committee and gave the approval to launch our nonprofit charitable organization, Glam Gives. Just taking ONE simple principal changed my life and now I want to inspire others to see if I can do the same for them. We are going to reward individuals and organizations with donated services, as well as monetary donations, who share similar values and create awareness. Since this is still in its infancy, I’m sure that many things are going to be refined/restructured. However, the overall scope will essentially stay the same.

Amber got married on September 11 at Chapel of the Flowers. Throughout all of our social media, Amber gained the most reach from last week. Because of this, we will reach out to her later on this week and send out some goodies. Vicki from Chapel of the Flowers was the wedding planner that assisted Amber. This means that Vicki will be able to donate a Glam Gift to a deserving bride. Once that Glam Gift is used, we will donate $100.00 do a local charity that share similar values.

Thanks to Farras from Little Church of the West, we were able to provide complementary hair and makeup services to two wonderful ladies. Because of that, we donated $100 to the Dennis McBride Awards and the Sand Dollar Lounge Awards. Both Dennis McBride and The Sand Dollar Lounge have made myriad contributions to their community and demonstrated abundant generosity. They helped out many in the LGBTQ community and will continue to assist others in need.

Glamsquad702 was given the opportunity to make a wish come true for a couple who wanted to get married again. Rebecca from Venetian Weddings wanted to give her Glam Gift, as well as the donation, to Wish Upon A Wedding. Wish Upon A Wedding had a couple that wanted to get remarried while they still had time left. The groom was given 6 months to live from his doctor about a month ago. The bride has had/has breast cancer, stomach cancer, colorectal cancer, cervical cancer, kidney and bladder cancer; but she is focused on taking care of her husband is in hospice for congestive heart failure, but also has kidney failure (dialysis 3 times a week), and diabetes. Glamsquad702 was happy to provide complementary hair and makeup services so that we can contribute to their special day.

Farras from Little Church of the West had previously won Bride of the Week and obtained a Glam Gift to give to a deserving bride. This wonderful couple, Julie and Amanda, had planned on getting married on the same day and time in Key West. Due to hurricane Irma, this was no longer an option. Their plans quickly changed and now Little Church of the West was able to make their dreams come true. Farras and Laura from wanted to help this couple and worked together to make this happen. Julie loves Elvis and had an Elvis ceremony, while having dinner at the Eiffel Tower later on. Glamsquad702 was proud to be part of this special day by providing complementary hair and makeup services. Thanks to Farris and Little Church of the West, the was day that they will never forget.

Thanks to Robin from Chapel of the Flowers, we were able to donate $100 to Opportunity Village here in Las Vegas. They serve the community by helping others with intellectual related disabilities to enhance their lives, as well as others. This organization offers vocational training, community employment, day services and arts/social recreation. We are proud to contribute to a wonderful cause such as this.

Our wonderful bride from Australia won this week’s Bride of the Week. Her video reached the most people between our social media outlets and we want to thank her for letting us be part of her special day. We are going to send out some complimentary gifts later on this week and will reach out to A Elvis Chapel for doing such a great job. We will provide a Glam Gift to Gina for her to give to a deserving bride and will follow up with everyone once the gift is used. This as a great experience and thank you again.

A couple of weeks ago, Robin from Chapel of the Flowers gifted a Glam Gift to a very deserving bride. It made a really huge difference and her story touched GS702 team. Good morning everyone! We decided to change things up a bit for Bride of the Week. Our Master Stylists, or highly experienced Senior Stylists, are the ones who typically make videos for us to give shoutouts to. Their videos are used as contestants to become Bride of the Week. However, brides from certain chapels make more videos than others. We want everyone to have a fair chance of winning so we are going to make the voting system a little different. As videos come in, we will wait until we have videos from 5 different chapels that the bride is willing to become a contestant for Bride of the Week. Once we have 5 videos, we will post them as a poll/tally/etc. for people to vote on. Each chapel will have one contestant and have an equal footing. We will let you know once the voting starts and the duration.

In the meantime, Glam Gives will continue to focus on charity work as the previous Glam Gifts are used. However, our methods will soon change because we want to get officially certified and regulated so that we can actually focus in areas that we want to contribute to society.
