Even though the bridge is out… YOU are not out of luck. Just go a 1/4 mile up the road (past this sign), and you will find Hooked on Nokomis. Our “Pizza Saturday in July” is still happening, and “The Blooze Brothers” will be doing an amazing show on Sunday. (tickets sold online) So don’t let the “Bridge Out” signs deter you, Hooked on Nokomis is still open and ready to ROCK THE BARN with you all. See you soon!

For over three decades, The Blooze Brothers has been one of Chicagoland’s most in-demand show bands. They not only honor the music made by the original Blues Brothers in movies, TV, and recordings, but the spirit in which they played – from Dan Aykroyd’s love of traditional blues and soul to John Belushi’s love of classic rock. Like Aykroyd and Belushi, they fuse those great musical traditions into a stage show that energizes and delights hundreds of thousands of music
fans across the greater Chicago area and beyond every year.

Doors open at Noon. Music starts at 2:00 p.m. Come early, order a pizza and some beverages before the show. And, most importantly, have fun experiencing The Blooze Brothers in person. They really are that good!

HOOKED ON NOKOMIS IS STILL OPEN!! Don’t forget about the barn. When you see these signs, it does not mean to stop. Don’t get discouraged… continue on, and we are located about a 1/4 mile up, and on the left side of the road. We are still serving pizza on Saturdays in July and our events will still happen. ANNOUNCEMENT: The Bearskin Bridge on County Road L in Tomahawk, WI is being replaced. Please be aware and follow the detour signs.

The Bearskin Bridge just south of US Hwy. 51 on County Road L will be closed for replacement starting Friday, July 18. The road will be closed to all traffic at that location; the rest of County Road L remains open. The official detour is to use US Hwys 8 and 51 to bypass the closed bridge.

To discourage heavy vehicles from using alternate detours involving town roads, the Nokomis Town Board approved a resolution to put 15 ton weight restrictions on Lake Nokomis Road, Prairie Rapids Road, and Prairie Lake Road for the duration of the bridge work and eventual repaving in fall. Please take the designated detour. Thank you so much.

‘Hooked on Nokomis’ is what Cheryl Casey decided to name the barn she purchased from a farmer. She and her husband modified the barn into an event center, turning the abandoned structure into a lively hub for people to enjoy on the weekends.
