How do you want your guests to feel during your retreat?

Part of creating an impactful event is being intentional about the overall experience.

Finding a venue with features that can add to the attendee experience is a simple way to add value to your retreat.

❓Ask yourself - Will the venue enhance the overall experience you want your guests to have?

💡Pro Tip - Talk to the venue about past events hosted in their space that were similar to your event idea. This could help you identify any potential benefits or challenges with using their space.

🤔 QOTD: When you hear the word retreat, what's the first feeling that comes to mind?

What details do you really need to know before talking to an event planner? 🤔

When I sit down with potential clients, here are the TOP things I'm looking for.

💡 Purpose - What is the goal and who is it for?

💡 Event type - What type of event will this be (workshop, brunch, conference, etc)?

💡 Possible event dates - After looking at your calendar, what are a few possible event dates?

💡 MAX budget - How much can you invest in your event idea?

💡 MUST haves - What are things that HAVE to be included in this event (food, music, guest speakers, etc)?

There will be a lot of other details to figure out and decisions to make; but this is really all that's needed to get the event project rolling.

Have questions? I've got answers! 😉 Shoot me a DM and we can chat more about your event idea.

Something all event guests really want to know ➡️ What's on the food menu? 🤔

Yes, your guests are looking forward to hearing the speakers, and networking, and all the wonderful activities that you have planned.

BUT they are also secretly hoping that they'll be eating something good. 😋

Food can be an experience that can instantly elevate your event!

My suggestion for curating a delicious and fun menu >>> spend time talking to your caterer! Chat with them about
🔸 Your budget
🔸 How you want your guests to feel during the food service
🔸 How you want them to engage with the food (ex: stations, passed apps, etc.)

This is a task that your event planner can take the lead on! They'll be able to work closely with your caterer to create a menu that your guests will be excited about and stay within your budget budget.
🗣 Psst - they can also manage and assist with those who have dietary restrictions.

What's one of your favorite things to eat at events?

It's meet and greet time! 🙋🏽‍♀️

I feel like it’s the perfect time to say "hey there hey" to all the new and beautiful faces who have joined me here!

I'm JayJay and I'm a planning nerd 🤓. Seriously, I geek out over spreadsheets, to-do lists, and creating detailed project plans.

That's why I'm an Event Planner and Launch Manager.

Clients come to me when they need help executing an event or a launch idea. Sometimes that idea is given to me in the form of a cohesive pre-plan but most times, it's given to me in the form of a brain dump (hello notes app and screenshots 🤳🏾). My team and I take what's given, and do our magic to turn their idea into a reality! 😉

I love having the opportunity to work with so many amazing business owners! Anyway, now that we've met...tell me something about you! 👇🏾

In person events can strengthen your business and online community! Here's how👇🏾

We all know that events are a good time! But when planned with a purpose, they can also serve a greater purpose in your business.

✨ Connect with your community
Strengthen your relationship with community members by engaging with them face-to-face! You'll also get to dig deeper to learn more about some of the pain points they are facing and what kind of support they may need (hello market research).

✨ More visibility on your business
Events bring a ton of new eyes to your platform. You can maximize the buzz by encouraging your guests to share their excitement online. You can also draw new visitors in by sharing planning details and BTS moments from the event. This would be a great time to transition those new visitors to your email list so you can keep in contact with them after the event.

✨ Pre-launch during the event
Events are a great way to pre-launch an upcoming offer or beta-test a new idea. While you have a captive audience, use this time to invite people to work with you more or in a different capacity. This is also a great way to draw new members into your community.

So there you have it. A few examples of how an in-person event can strengthen your business and online community!

Tell me below, which one of these interests you the most?

FACT 👉🏾 No matter how perfect the plan is, something will always go wrong. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Y’all know I LOVE a detailed plan! I create and update launch and event plans daily. But one thing that I've had to realize over the years is that everything doesn't go according to plan.

❌ Tech fails
❌ Social Media glitches
❌ Links in emails are broken
❌ Something unexpected comes up

No way around it...things happen 😩

So, if you are preparing for an upcoming project I want to remind you to be prepared for the unknown. Something isn't going to go according to plan. When that happens remember these 3 things ⬇️

✨ Feel the pain - Give yourself time to be upset, angry, and frustrated.
✨ Adjust - No way around it, you need to adjust the plan.
✨ Move forward - Be confident that things will still work out.

The key to planning is being flexible when things come up. Knowing when and how to adjust is important.

It’s never perfect...but you are capable of navigating whatever comes your way. Just stay committed to the process.

If your to-do list overwhelms you, I’ve got some tips 👇🏾

There is nothing worse than waking up every day to an overwhelming to-do list. 🥴

Keeping up with the day-to-day tasks can be a struggle. And it makes it impossible to envision how you’ll accomplish some of the larger projects on your goals list.

I know how that feels, but take a few deep breaths…there is hope! 😉

Instead of stressing out or pushing your goals off till “later”, try this ⬇️

1️⃣ Remember that you can’t complete ALL 102 tasks on your list TODAY. Release yourself from that pressure.

2️⃣ Identify your TOP priority items. What HAS to be done right now? If you’re avoiding tasks, do those first so they are out of the way. AND include tasks that get you closer to your goals (those are important too)!

3️⃣ Schedule time for each task and then adjust your list accordingly. This one is really important. You may want to complete 5 main tasks in a day, but if each tasks takes you 2 hours to complete you may not get all 5 done.

✨Bonus✨ Hire help! Again, there is only so much you can accomplish in a day. Hiring help may be easier than you think. 😉

Take a few more deep breaths sis and then take control of your list!

Share 1 thing you’re going to complete this week! 👇🏾

🙋🏽‍♀️ I’ll be working on passing some tasks off to my team b/c what good is having their support if I don’t use it.

You don't always have to offer a discount as a launch bonus!

Let’s keep it honest, you want to keep as much coin as possible. But you also want to incentivize sales during your launch.

Adding a fast action bonus to your launch strategy is an amazing way to incentivize people to take quick action during your launch.

These bonuses are only available for a short period of time or to those who pay in full for your higher ticket offer. But the bonus doesn't have to be a discount.

Yes, everyone loves a good sale, but it's not the only thing your audience finds valuable.

Swipe ➡️ to see 3 different bonuses you can offer that aren't discounts. Then tell me your favorite one below! 👇🏾

Showing up for yourself takes practice.

I once heard someone say that being an entrepreneur is like partaking in a never-ending self-development exercise. And they were so right!

Growth doesn't always feel good. Anytime we are stretched, it brings up a ton of emotions. And in those moments our feelings appear bigger than facts. We begin to question the path and even doubt ourselves.

I understand exactly how this feels and I’ve seen my business friends and clients deal with this regardless of their past experiences.

Each new business goal demands a stronger version of your past self. There is no way around it, it stretches you and it’s uncomfortable.

But being uncomfortable isn’t always a warning sign to flee. What if, it was a sign to keep going? What if being uncomfortable is proof that you are growing stronger?

So next time you begin doubting the path you are on, I encourage you to continue showing up for yourself despite how you're feeling. Lean into the uncomfortable knowing that the feelings are a part of the process and that brighter days are on the other side. 💜

How do you show up for yourself when you feel fearful?
