🎓Class of 2026 Spotlight Elizabeth Rushford🎓
Music Major Elizabeth gives great advice to upcoming classmates: "Extracurriculars were my whole life in high school. I had violin lessons, clarinet lessons, piano lessons, orchestra, band, choir, I teach lessons, and compete in Figure skating. ⛸️🎶 Some days I questioned why I am doing so much, and even though it was exhausting, I wouldn’t have taken a single thing away. Each commitment taught me how to work hard, stay motivated, manage my time, and excel in different areas of my life. I’m proud of everything I was able to accomplish, and I’m so grateful for the opportunities I was given.
Congratulations, Elizabeth, and good luck on your future endeavors!

🎭Our Theatre Managers are more than organizers—they are professional technicians who train, mentor, and guide students in the many moving parts of a production. From assisting the technical theater teachers in teaching backstage procedures and safety protocols to helping crews master technical skills, they play a vital role in developing the next generation of theater professionals.
Their dedication ensures every performance runs smoothly and provides valuable career and college preparation for everyone involved.
The curtain may rise on the performers, but our Theatre Managers and Backstage Crew are the reason the magic happens. 👏🎬🎭

⏰Updated - LVA 2026–2027 School Year Bell Times⏰
Dear LVA Families,
Due to transportation logistics, CCSD has updated the bell times for the 2026–2027 school year and determined that LVA’s instructional day will be 8:00 am – 3:00 pm.

We recognize that this schedule may impact rehearsals, performances, and other after-school activities. Our staff is reviewing how to best adapt to these new times so we can continue to provide students with a full range of academic and performing arts opportunities.

Thank you for your support as we plan for another successful year at LVA.

🎉💰 Congratulations to four LVA students who have each earned a $500 College Board BigFuture Scholarship!

BigFuture Scholarships have been awarded to Brian Romualdo, Ektor Ndreu, Ryley Slack, and Stephanie Flores. The program rewards students for taking important steps toward planning their futures. LVA Spring Highlight! Did you know?
Huge congratulations to Adrianna Keroles, an LVA junior Jazz major, who made school history at the DECA International Career Development Conference in Atlanta! 🎉

Competing against hundreds of students in the Financial Consulting event, Adrianna placed in the 90th percentile and was one of only 20 students nationwide to earn a presentation medal. 🏅
