Last year I mentioned the idea of hosting a photography workshop and a lot of you were excited about it. So… I’m finally doing it.

If you own a camera but feel overwhelmed by all the buttons and settings, this workshop is for you.

I’ve been a photographer for over 15 years, and one of the most common things people tell me is that they bought a camera but never really learned how to use it. So I’m hosting a small class called Learn Your Camera, a beginner photography workshop designed to help you finally understand how your camera works.

During this workshop we’ll cover things like:

• how aperture, shutter speed, and ISO actually work
• how to get out of auto mode
• how to find beautiful natural light
• simple composition tips
• a quick Lightroom editing walkthrough

We’ll also spend time practicing together so you can apply what you’re learning while I’m there to help.

We purchased this property as a multigenerational family with the intentions of making this historic homestead our family home and business. This wonderful property offers a unique and charming venue for us to share with you for all types of events. Homesteaded in 1856, our property features historic barns, an open-air pavilion with a stone fireplace, beautifully- landscaped grounds, and a picturesque pond. We host weddings, corporate events, and private parties, providing personalized services to make each event special and stress-free. Our Bridal Suite (converted in 2020) and Grooms Grotto (built 1910) offer comfortable and unique spaces for getting ready. At Meadowlark Weddings and Events, we combine history with modern convenience to create unforgettable memories for our clients.
