Thirty years ago today, Derek Evelo and I embarked on our journey together by exchanging our vows & getting married. It brings us immense joy to now own The Lodge on Main in Lapel, Indiana, a haven where love and connection flourish.

In January 2020, we purchased this downtown building with a shared vision of creating a space that inspires people to unite, create cherished memories, and live each moment with intention.

Despite the challenges posed by COVID, our first event on December 31, 2020, marked the beginning of countless celebrations to come - starting with a special local Lapel couple’s wedding.

Since then, our venue has been blessed to witness numerous couples, young and old, exchanging their vows and promising to love one another for a lifetime.

We pray that this sacred space continues to be a source of inspiration, hope, and love for our community, encouraging couples to build strong, lasting relationships that flourish for generations to come.

Here’s to celebrating our 30years and hoping you & yours celebrate a lifetime!
