Our debs had a great time at Zap Zone XL they are pictured here with todays guest speaker Effie Alofoje-Carr - Effie Alofoje-Carr is a public health professional, entrepreneur and on-air talent. A proud Detroit native, she attended Renaissance High school and has a degree from Michigan State University. Effie has worked as a legal advocate for Domestic Violence Survivors and supported youth programming in urban areas. She is a maternal/infant health and early childhood advocate and substance misuse prevention specialist. Effie is married to Destavioun Sr. and they are parents to their brilliant 11 year old son DJ.

Happy Thanksgiving, I want to extend my warmest wishes to you and your loved ones. May this season bring you peace in your heart, good health to your home, and moments of rest to rejuvenate your spirit.

For those traveling, I pray for your safety and traveling mercies as you gather with family and friends.

Dear Les Meres et Debutantes Community family and friends, we would like to take this opportunity to thank each of you for your presence and unwavering support of Manessah and Arthuria families . Your demonstration of love and kindness toward the family is truly heartwarming. Please continue to keep the naval and watkins family and the 2022 Les Meres et Debutantes in your prayers as we cope with this great loss. The Naval and Watkins family has acknowledged and appreciated the thoughtful gestures, including cards, flowers, and resolutions.We love you all and thank you once again for everything!

Our debutantes were out in the community today volunteering at the Greater Lansing CROP Hunger Walk and our debs also gave 20+ cans to support the homeless - We thank Community Service Chair Felicia Peters Robinson and her committee for doing a fabulous job with our debutantes!
