A little shop update: we're changing our hours...again!

We’re now open Thursday–Friday 11am–6pm and Saturday 11am–4pm.

This shift gives us space to focus on the parts of our business that help keep things moving forward — design work, custom orders, weddings, and events. We love it all, truly, but these are the areas that allow us to grow in a way that’s more sustainable, both creatively and financially.

Like many small businesses, we’re navigating rising costs and balancing other jobs, so we’re leaning into what helps us build something steady and intentional: thoughtful floral design, floral subscriptions, private events, and hosting in our space (more on that soon).

Subscriptions help keep our little shop steady — and they make meaningful, stress-free gifts. You can start one anytime on our website or in the shop.

If you need flowers, you can still order online or call the shop anytime. We just ask that you place orders by Tuesday for that week when possible. Custom or event orders? Plan for 2–3 weeks out.

National Pet Day?!

We’re in.

To all the couples who’ve found ways to include their pets in their wedding day—whether physically there or honored from afar—we love seeing it. Drinks named after them, little statues on the tables, their faces on napkins, or just a nod in your bar signage... it always gets us.

That said—if your pet’s not in this post, we’re sorry. We did a quick scroll through past galleries and pulled what we could find, but we know we’ve missed a bunch. Honestly, we usually only save photos that include flowers (rookie move), so if we missed your furry sidekick, send those over. We’re realizing we need to make an actual album of all the wedding pets.

Here’s to your dogs, your cats, and even the ones we never got to meet. Thanks for bringing them into your day in ways big and small.

Our signature scents, made locally by Modern Makers Provisions, have quickly become one of our bestsellers (after flowers, of course).

We knew we needed our own custom scent, but picking a floral scent was tricky.

We didn’t know exactly what we wanted, but we definitely knew what we didn’t want (you know the type of floral that just hits you the wrong way).

When Larry sent over the sample scents, we knew right away—and that’s saying something, because we can be a bit indecisive.

We’re so glad you’re as obsessed with it as we are!

It’s become such a staple in the shop and we always have it burning whenever we’re open.

We’ve loved seeing so many of you come from all over the state to grab our candles, room sprays, body oils, perfumes, and rollers.

Happy Birthday to my best friend - the one that keeps me organized and keeps the shop running smoothly- Kait!

She is the queen of spreadsheets and all the things that make the shop run smoothly! I never know what I’m going to get when I hear the words “Just hear me out”, but the ideas are always wildly creative and push us to do things I didn’t think were possible! I don’t think there is ever a dull moment! Not only that, but she is also the queen of all things on social media! I truly am in awe of the things she comes up with and the things she creates! She is the heartbeat behind Sparrow Bloom and I’m so thankful I get to be on this crazy journey with her…not just in business but in life too!

But beyond all that, she is just an amazing human being! She cares for people fiercely, loves her people well, stands up for the things she believes…and she laughs at all my jokes!! She helps me become a better version of myself!

Love ya so much, Kait!! I hope today is filled with so much love!! You give so much of yourself to others each day, but today is about you!! Thanks for doing life with me, thanks for doing business with me…and thank you for simply being you!!

One year in the shop and our hearts are so full!

For years, we’d say, it’s just the two of us! But the truth is, we’ve always had an incredible support system—our family, who took on the unofficial roles of cheerleaders, problem-solvers, and extra hands when we needed them.

Since opening the shop, that support has only grown. Every weekend, these amazing women show up after their 9-5 jobs, keeping things running, taking care of customers, organizing, cleaning, and making sure we can keep doing what we love. They see what needs to be done and just do it—helping us function better in every way.

We finally got to celebrate together (outside of the group chat!) at our first-ever “staff” party, sharing stories and gratitude. (Thanks .slowliving for the class and for the yummy food!)

This little shop wouldn’t be the same without them!

This recognition is such an honor, and we couldn’t have done it without you. Sparrow Bloom started as a dream to offer beautiful, locally grown flowers, but it’s grown into so much more. It’s a place where community and collaboration thrive—a safe space where everyone can come in, be themselves, and leave with a little more love for themselves and those around them. We’re proud to support local flower growers and independent artisans who make this space so special.
