Before anyone comes for me… I love a big wedding. I really do. There is something incredibly special about celebrating with everyone you love.

But after marrying hundreds of couples, I’ve learned something:

The best weddings aren’t the biggest.
The best weddings are the ones that feel the most like YOU.

For some couples, that’s a packed dance floor, a huge reception, and all their favorite people in one place.

For others, it’s standing somewhere beautiful, surrounded by a handful of family and friends, completely present in the moment.

No pressure.
No performance.
No trying to make everyone else happy.

Just the people who matter most and a whole lot of love.

There is no right way to get married.

There is only the way that feels right for your relationship.

And honestly? I think that’s pretty beautiful. 🤍

One of my favorite ceremonies lately had no guests.

No photographer.

No timeline.

No production.

Just the two of them and me standing together as they promised forever. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

It was EVERYTHING!!!!

There was nothing pulling their attention in a hundred different directions. No pressure to entertain anyone. No expectations. No worrying about whether everyone else was having a good time.

It was simply about them. As it should be!

After the ceremony, they headed straight to for an adventure together, and I loved that so much. They spent their wedding day doing exactly what felt right for them instead of doing what they thought they were supposed to do.

That’s something I wish more couples gave themselves permission to do.

Your wedding doesn’t have to look like anyone else’s.

It doesn’t need a guest list, a ballroom, a reception, or a hundred moving pieces to be meaningful.

Sometimes the most beautiful weddings are the ones that feel the most like you.

And this one was exactly that. ❤️

A little reminder from someone who’s been to a lot of weddings…

The couples who have the most fun aren’t usually the ones with the perfect timeline, perfect weather, perfect flowers, or perfect seating chart.

They’re the ones who decide ahead of time that they’re going to enjoy their day no matter what.

Because here’s the truth…

Something will probably go differently than planned.

A button might pop off.

Someone might show up late.

The flower girl might decide she’s absolutely not walking down the aisle today. 😂

And years from now, none of those things will matter.

What you’ll remember is how it felt.

The way your partner looked at you.

The way you laughed until your face hurt.

The way your friends and family surrounded you with love.

The best advice I can give you is this:

Don’t spend your wedding day looking for problems.

Look for moments.

Look for the people you love.

Look for reasons to laugh.

Look at your partner and remember why you’re here in the first place.

Because at the end of the day, you’re not throwing a production.

You’re marrying your favorite person.

And that deserves to be enjoyed. 🤍
