You guys!!! We had so much fun at the open house this weekend!! The coffee was perfect The Pour Lady Coffee the food was amazing DA QUE, LLC and the ice cream hit the spot!! The animals loved all of the attention and cannot wait to see everyone again!

It was a hot one, but we thank each and every one of you that came to support us! Our friends and family who always show up, thank you! We could not do this without you!! And our new friends that we meet with every event, THANK YOU!! You all are what keep us going.

This past weekend was packed full but SO much fun!! We loaded up the animals for a mobile petting zoo experience for the last night of a VBS. The entire event was amazing but watching over 120 kids love on the animals was the highlight!

Then we hosted a self defense class and got to tell our story and share a little bit about each of the animals! Thankfully I had my best helper to make sure I got all the facts straight ❤️

Burrow got a hair cut this week… and something else cut. But he doesn’t want to talk about that 🤣🤣 have you ever seen a more photogenic steer before?!

Fun fact: we were looking for a cattle chute and my grandpa said he still had my dads from his high school days. It needs cleaned up but Its going to work perfect! And I know I say it a lot, but I’m so thankful for my dad teaching me and helping me always!

Big announcement #3 (sorry for the delay. That last week of school got us good 😅)

When we first started talking about opening this business, having a summer camp was a must for me!! And now we are doing the darn thing!!!

5pm-8pm 😍 3 evenings for 3 hours each night. Each child will learn how to feed and what to feed, hoof trimming, cleaning stalls and bedding the animals, bathing animals, doing a small fun craft, hear from guest speakers, get a Rising Sons shirt, and have a pizza party on the final evening! Parents are more than welcome to stay and hang out on our porch, in the event center, take a walk at Christmas Rock Nature preserve, or drop them off and have a relaxing few hours to yourselves! Please sing up each individual child as there is a limited number of space and we want each child to get to experience as much hands on as possible!

Every event that we host is special to us. We are always honored that you allow us to help celebrate your special events! This particular party had a special request. They had a family member who was not able to get around well. And she really wanted to meet our Frodo. So in to the event went Frodo and I! And seeing the expressions on her face was just a small reminder of why we started this business ❤️❤️ Frodo loved getting the attention and I do believe they both fell in love with each other.

Someone this week said “I bet this is so fun and relaxing”. And yes, while it is so fun and sometimes so relaxing to sit out in the barn and get snuggles, not all days are relaxing. Trying to keep the new chicks in the coop, momma bunny not making enough milk and having to hold her and let babies eat (and still not many making it), to going out super early and finding a rejected baby. Rewarming, milking momma and giving lots of snuggles. Letting animals out to pasture to grt acclumated with each other so we dont have to let out in shifts, and so much more. All while working full time 😅 but we wouldn’t trade it for the world! Also super thankful for all our friends for bringing helpful tips, and goat ni***es for the bottle! We couldn’t do any of this without our support system!

Big announcement #2 THE SIGN!!!! Guys… how amazing did Twisted Willow Print Co. do on our sign?! It’s no secret we are out in the middle of no where and multiple cars drive past due to GPS. So a sign was top priority. We gave them our vision and they did awesome!! We are so happy with how this turned out! Hopefully this will be easier for guests to spot us 😍🙌🏻❤️
