Pavement improvements on The BLVD for the next 2-3 weeks.

🚧 Pavement Improvements on The BLVD begin August 18 🚧 We’re upgrading The BLVD from 10th Street West to Sierra Hwy between August 18 and September 10. Crews will work from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m., and traffic will be impacted. Please plan ahead, allow extra time, and drive carefully around the work zone.

This week’s work:
📅 August 18–20 – Rolling closures for manhole repairs.
Only the section being worked on each night will be closed.

Full Project Timeline:
1️⃣ Aug 18–20: Rolling Closures – Manhole Repairs
2️⃣ Aug 25–29: Full Closure – Pavement Work
3️⃣ Sept 2–5: Rolling Closures – Manhole Repairs
4️⃣ Sept 8–10: Restriping – Final Step

Please drive carefully through the work zone.

Well, finally did it! Four years ago I started my plant propagation journey. After years of turning away people’s requests to buy my plants I said YES. Here’s a pic of my first plant propagation sale. Good bye, planty baby.

Headed back to the bookstore after running some errands in DTLA. Needed a banana crème matcha latte and some baked goods while I wait for my ramen and onigiri at Daikokuya.

Happy Monday!
We’re so excited to share the news that we’re working on moving and expanding our ROMANCE books to its own area. It’ll be located on the opposite side of our store separate from the rest of our books.
Our gift and crystals will be in between our romance books and the rest of our bookstore. The target date to get most of this finished is Saturday, November 15, 2025.
We’re in the planning stage of planning a multi-author signing. Stay tuned for more information.

What a day. We are filling our shelves and purging boxes like mad. Huge changes coming soon. Rearranging the layout of our gift and crystal section. Plus, we’ll be moving our romance section to the opposite end of the bookstore. It will be its own section. Can’t wait for it to all come together.
