This weekend was so incredibly special for our entire team. We entered the 4th Annual Lancaster’s Best Food Truck Competition under the leadership our lead barista, Kenan, and our previous trailer lead, Selah. May 30 was Kenan’s final shift with Joe on the Go Coffee Co and his original creation was our contest entry- homemade chocolate chip cookie iced latte with sweet cream cold foam and house baked chocolate chip cookie crumbles.

Parked alongside the greats- Lynn And Gray Coffee Co, Cool Beans Brew, Noel's Cafè, Revel Coffee - we were not expecting a win. But around 3:30 PM, Sofia told Kenan his latte creation had won the drinks category. You could see the instant joy in his smile.

You see, Kenan had been predominantly self-taught before joining and he has never stopped striving to bring joy to our guests through his original craft beverages and big heart for community. So to us, the day wasn’t about JOE winning or a drink being “the best,” it was about teamwork and Kenan being honored for the time and talent he’s brought to our cafe and our before he moved on to his next adventure!

Thank you to Derek Eisenberger, Casey Eisenberger Joyful Doberman Rescue of PA for creating space for food trucks to thrive. Thank you fellow coffee trucks for sharing the road so graciously with us and for having equally amazing sips! ☕️ Thank you Lonely Monk Coffees, Leon and Josh, for the unmatched roast! Thank you to the L-S community for believing in us and our dream of - this weekend was focused on humble beginnings, and it’s time we return to them. The best is yet to be.

The rain didn’t stop the festivities! We loved spending today with you, honoring the brave men and women who served with their hearts and have left this earth as heroes. Our amazing community kept us so busy that we didn’t catch the beginning of the parade, but we hope you’ll enjoy these hometown photos! Transparency because we care about you and desire to keep serving you well. ~ We recently celebrated the four year anniversary of our coffee trailer and our coffee business. And I want to be very honest.

It is incredibly blessed.
It is incredibly hard.

Before we opened in 2022, Tim at Barebones Bicycle and Fitness counseled, “It’s not the first two years that are the hardest, it’s year 3 and 4. At first, you’ll be the hot commodity, but the shine wears off when someone new comes to town.” Inside I chuckled at this approach to business, and I was determined that we’d be an exception to the rule.

I was wrong.

When we launched, we were the FIFTH coffee truck in our county. Now there are 17. So what makes us different?

We don’t pursue short-term trends for quick cash. We don’t charge hidden set up & mileage fees. We train our staff on seeing each guest for their personhood, not their pocketbook. We focus on locally roasted, small batch, craft coffee, not a cup full of sugar. We fight human trafficking with every coffee bean purchase from and we help dig wells in foreign nations by purchasing bottled water from and most importantly, we serve the community with our hearts and donations to countless local non-profits.

And still, the past 18 months have been the hardest.
But they’ve also been full of joyous moments and incredible community connection. I’m not sure what the future holds for the but as long as that roof is raised and friends are standing at those multi-paned windows, we’re going to keep on serving, keep on loving, keep on spreading kindness.

After all, it’s free.

On Memorial Day our CAFE will be closed to create time for our team to enjoy meaningful connections with family and friends.

Meanwhile the annual tradition continues in and we continue to love celebrating with our home community! For an extra special treat, this year’s parade coincides with national iced coffee day, so we thought it would be fun to give away our amazing iced coffee for FREE!

We are truly looking forward to this annual tradition. As usual, our coffee trailer will be open for limited hours (8AM-11AM) and our cafe will be closed for the day so our team may spend more time with family and friends! Veterans and active duty will receive free iced or hot coffee as well. ❤️🤍💙

The Annual Strasburg Memorial Day Parade and Memorial Service, sponsored by Strasburg Area Sertoma Club, will be held Monday, May 25th beginning at 9:00 a.m.

The parade will start at the west end of Miller Street and travel down West and East Main Streets. Following the parade there will be a memorial service at the Strasburg Cemetery. In the event of inclement weather, the parade will be cancelled, and the services will be held at the Presbyterian Church. Roads will be temporarily closed during the parade so please plan your travel accordingly that morning.

***There is no pre-registration necessary to participate in the parade. The parade forms on Clearview Avenue beginning at 8 a.m.***
