On a new Valentine engagement high? 🥰 Here's what to do next →

Unless you are a specific time crunch, I cannot stress this enough, please just enjoy the moment. This just-engaged bliss is typically a once-in-a-lifetime feeling. Savor it.

2. Define Your Values
You and your partner likely make such a great team because you share similar values. Take the time to communicate and define how those values will show up on your wedding day and the decision making process during wedding planning.

3. Prioritize
Take into consideration timing, budget constraints, and various external factors to prioritize your list of wedding day non-negotiables. Analyze where you may be willing to compromise (between yourselves, stakeholders, and vendors).

4. Draft A Guest List
Count up all your favorite people. This will determine how your budget will be affected, primarily when seeking a venue and catering (among your priciest vendors).

Bonus Tip #5: Hire A Planner
Okay, maybe I’m biased here. 😉 The earlier you hire a planner, the smoother the planning process typically goes... especially if you’re clear on your values and priorities.
