It was a beautiful gathering of the community for an amazing film, conversation, crafts and an overall beautiful exchange of energy 💗

It’s been quite a while since I’ve shared a blog, but recently I felt led to create one. With the current state of our country, I feel we are meant to return to simpler times 😄

Social media is unpredictable and doesn’t belong to us. However, our websites, blogs and email newsletters do!

This first blog is about using branding photographs for maximum impact. Branding images can be used for social media marketing, to update your website, help promote a launch, product or service, email newsletters and anything else you can think of 😄

I also share some local businesses and how they’ve used some of the images I’ve taken of them 📷

It’s so nice to have a collection of images to pull from at anytime.

I’m so grateful for my clients (and friends) who come back year after year 🥹

I’ve had the honor of photographing this beautiful family 3 years in a row, when Zacchaeus was a few months young, then 1 and now 2 🎉

Every year passes by so quickly and it ’s so much fun to watch how the little ones evolve over the years 🫶🏽

Can’t wait to edit the pics and share them! This family also has a collection of albums and prints from each session 😍 they will have these heirlooms to look back on for many, many years to come 🙌🏽

I haven’t been very active on this account 😕 I’ve been really diving into other art mediums and sharing consistently on my personal account .janell instead 🎨🖌️

But I do want to give this page some more love because I plan on continuing to take photos! I’ve actually been working my business plan through a workshop I’m attending 🎉

I haven’t done a ton of photo shoots over the past few months. We’re just getting out of the rainy season here in Washington state and I’ve had folks start to reach out for pictures 🥰

I’ve been enjoying taking pictures of nature, which is something I’ve loved from day 1 🌸 nature is life and definitely fuels my soul 🙌🏽

I do have a very special, intimate event I’ll be photographing today 🥹

I am grateful that you have taken the time to stop by! I am Alexa Janell Aviles Arnold, a Nuyorican, vegan who lives in Tacoma with my husband Steve and fur baby, River. We are currently building a tiny house and starting our own businesses.

I found my passion for photography in 2012 and received my first camera for Christmas that year (Thanks Ma!). Today, I am a new business owner who is doing my best to remain in alignment and go with the flow of this adventure called life.
