When a fellow wedding vendor asks you to help coordinate their own big day? The highest honor—and a tiny bit of pressure (in the best way). Malia and I met working a wedding together a few years ago, and I’ve admired her style ever since. So when she and her now-husband Steen reached out, I knew the vibes would be immaculate. It’s the start of a new wedding season, which means it’s time to reintroduce myself!

Hi, I’m Hanna — professional wedding coordinator, romance enthusiast, and your wedding fairy godmother (minus the wand, but I do carry a mean clipboard).

I’ve been head-over-heels for love stories since I could read — and yes, I was absolutely that kid hiding a swoony romance novel behind a history textbook. If it involves a dramatic proposal, a sweeping kiss in the rain, or a well-timed slow dance… I’m in. Romance movies are my comfort food, and weddings? They’re the live-action version of everything I’ve adored since I was little.

As your coordinator, I’m the go-to person for timeline planning, vendor recommendations, general wedding wisdom (yes, I do know if you need chargers for your place settings), and making sure your big day runs seamlessly. When you work with me, you’ll get someone who’s just as likely to crack a joke with you over coffee as I am to take charge when a vendor drops the ball or Aunt Linda tries to rearrange the seating chart. I’ve always been a bit bossy — now I just get paid to use it for good. Think of me as your wedding day’s head coach, biggest cheerleader, and occasional therapist.

I’m a proudly q***r woman, and I believe love looks beautiful in every color, gender, sexual orientation, and faith. My mission is simple: to make sure every couple feels seen, supported, and celebrated — and to make sure your event runs so smoothly, that the only tears are the happy kind. I’m success-driven, detail-obsessed, and thrive on that moment when my couples are glowing at the end of the night, saying “That was perfect.”

I just got the gallery back from Morgan and Dominic’s wedding at the Pickering Barn, and it brings the biggest smile to my face! Morgan and I went to school together growing up - and when I say we went to school together, I mean all the way from kindergarten through high school! Walking in to her wedding was kind of like walking in to a mini high school reunion, and it really was a blast. It was a day filled with so much joy and laughter - I mean, there was even a piñata. Do I need to say more?

I believe I have always been quite clear with my brand, but given recent events, I want to make sure there is no room for confusion.

Hanna Burdick Events celebrates all love, regardless of sexual orientation, gender, religion, ability, or race. It always has and it always will. I promise I will continue to show up for my fellow LGBTQ+ community and the many other communities who feel unseen and unsafe in the wake of this political nightmare, and I promise I will continue to showcase the unconditional love that this world has to offer. It’s out there, even if doesn’t feel like it in this moment (I get it).

Sending love to all families like mine unsure of what your future holds. You are not alone - we stand together.

Coming at you with a spooky wedding fun fact in the name of Halloween! I read recently that the tradition of bridesmaids was created originally to ward off vengeful spirits from the bride on her wedding day! The bridesmaids would dress in matching dresses and veils as the bride to confuse evil spirits, and would even carry “bouquets” of garlic and herbs to help fend them off. Obviously, as most traditional wedding practices, the tradition has evolved into what it is today - having a group of your people stand with you as you enter the next phase in your life with your one and only!

If you’re looking for a unique seating chart idea, this is it!

This insanely beautiful flower wall was not only aesthetic AF, but it also served as the seating chart for the reception! Each bud vase had a tiny tag tied around it with a guest’s name and table number! Guests were asked to collect their vase from the wall before dinner and place it in the center of their table, where the collective bud vases would then become the centerpieces! Guests and vendors alike would NOT stop talking about this gorgeous idea, and I absolutely understand why.

Kelsey and Taha are both fellow WSU alumni (Go Cougs!), but didn’t meet until after they both graduated! Since they now live out of state but decided to host their wedding here, they wanted to make sure they had someone who would be able to help them work out the logistics of their ceremony and execute their vision, and I was more than happy to help!
