🎂 TWO ORGANIZATIONS. ONE BIGGER CELEBRATION. 🎉

We are so excited to announce a special partnership between Family Made Whole and Sister Events!

At Family Made Whole, we believe every foster child deserves to feel loved, valued, and celebrated. Through Colleen’s Cakes for Kids, we provide birthday cakes to help make that happen.

Now, through our partnership with Sister Events, we’re taking the celebration one step further by helping provide birthday parties for foster children, too!

Because a birthday should be more than just another day on the calendar. It should be a reminder to a child that they matter, they are loved, and they deserve to be celebrated. ❤️

Together, we’re working to make more birthday wishes come true, one child at a time!

We have some birthdays to celebrate and officially launch. Twins are turning ONE in November 🤍

We’re looking for the people and the businesses who want to help us create the very first Sister Events foster birthday celebration.

Sister Events is becoming something more!

We are transitioning from simply creating events to using those celebrations for a purpose very close to our hearts.

Our mission is to create personalized birthday celebrations for children in foster care.

We want children walking through some of life’s hardest transitions to have a day that says:

You are seen.
You are valued.
You are worth celebrating.

We need our community to help us create the FIRST one.

This will be the celebration that officially launches this new chapter of Sister Events.

And some of you will be able to say:

“I was there from the very first birthday.”

Something as simple as a birthday party may seem ordinary...
A cake, a few balloons, decorations picked in your favorite colors, presents wrapped just for you, and people gathered together to say, “Today, we celebrate YOU.”

But for a child in foster care, it can mean so much more.

Many of these children are walking through transitions they never asked for. They may be living in a new home, attending a new school, separated from people they love, or carrying experiences that no child should have to carry.

In the middle of all that change, a birthday can be an opportunity to give them something that is completely theirs.

A day where they are seen.
A day where someone remembered.
A day where their favorite things matter.

A day that reminds them that their life is worth celebrating.

That is the heart behind where Sister Events is headed.
We want to take something we already love doing—creating beautiful celebrations—and use it to make birthdays special for children in foster care.
Because sometimes the things that seem ordinary to us can become an extraordinary memory for a child. 🎈
Every child deserves to be celebrated.

The Lord put Sister Events on my heart in 2022. It has been built on the verse 1 Peter 4:10 Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God's grace in its various forms. In 2024 I had the amazing opportunity to partner with a non-profit organization that supports those in recovery from addiction of many kinds. This pulled on my heart strings and the Lord showed me Sister Events was going to plan for charities in the community. At that point we turned this business into a non-profit. I thought the Lord was done there...but now in 2026, He has even bigger plans for it and I am amazed at how each little step has lead to this "launch". Sister Events is about to become something far more meaningful than I originally imagined.
