Update from Kathy Pedersen and On Occasion Catering & Events…
With Thanksgiving coming up, this is a perfect time to let you know the exciting things that have been taking place at On Occasion Catering!
I have been thinking about relocating to Knoxville, TN for over a year. This year’s events made semi-retirement look better than ever, and I have now accomplished my goal.
On Occasion Catering has transitioned very smoothly into a partnership with another caterer, who I have worked with in the past and have 100% confidence in. The last several months have proven that our partnership is a success, and the change-over was seamless! Our number remains 847-963-6700, our website remains OnOccasionCatering.com, our email addresses are still [email protected] and [email protected] and we appreciate all your continued support. I hope you will all continue to use us as your caterer for years to come!
Thank you all so very much! What started out in my home kitchen 16 years ago, survived and thrived in an industry that has many try but few succeed. Many of you started out as valued customers and became cherished Friends!! It has been a joy to be a part of so many of your events and lives. I am very grateful and humbled by the way you all have supported me and my company, truly allowing me to become part of your communities. I look forward to my future and hope to stay in touch with many of you. (I’ll post more about my move and future on my personal page.)
Now, back to the business side of things… The timing here is perfect. Just when my lease was ending, I had an offer to purchase the entire contents of my kitchen in Lake Zurich, and I met a new business owner who would be a perfect fit for the kitchen, so I gathered the three of us together and The Lake Zurich Community Kitchen has begun its journey on Telser Road! TLZCC is a fully equipped shared space kitchen, up and running and ready to rent! Website and other contact info coming soon.
While The Lake Zurich Community Kitchen was getting started, On Occasion Catering & Events began a partnership with Pear Tree Catering in Lincolnshire. These folks are wonderful! I’ve worked with their chef in the past, and the owners are a pleasure to work with as well! When you call our number or email us, Shelly and her team will take perfect care of you. The staff is great to work with, the food is (still) wonderful, and their presentation is beautiful!
