Yesterday we had a really full house for our Summertime Brunch at The Gathering Place! At one point, I looked out the front door and there were cars on both sides of the road plus a filled parking lot!

The new vision for Country Accents!
After a severe hand injury last September, I've had to change my focus from flowers to __________________. And finding what to fill in that blank with, I wasn't real certain at first. But from the time my shop was first built, my intention has been to encourage people.

So it is my hope that The Gathering Place will continue to be a place of encouragement for old & soon-to-be new friends for brunches and dinners, workshops and whatever else may come along.

Interested in renting my space for an intimate shower or get together for family/friends? We can do that too! Info will follow...

These are all Amnesia Roses but notice how their color evolves over the course of a week to 10 days... they start out with very pale interior petals but in a week's time deepen to a saturated and darkened lavender.

As inquiries have come in for Christmas orders, I have to let you all know that I will be unable to fill any orders until Summer 2025 due to an injury to my hand.
Ongoing physical therapy will hopefully make a difference, but surgery may still be necessary. Believe me when I say, I really miss doing what I love to do!!

Our Story

If you're looking for high quality and personal service, you've come to the right place. At Country Accents we offer the very best in fresh flowers, specializing in custom designs for weddings, memorials and everyday occasions.

Our shop has been located in town of Lake Pleasant, in the southern Adirondacks, since 1984. In that amount of time we’ve had the pleasure of designing for weddings throughout the capital district and the Adirondack region. We offer free delivery in and around the Speculator, Lake Pleasant and Piseco areas and gladly assist with set-up for events.

I’ve had a lifetime of learning from a master gardener and designer as well as some studies with leaders in the floral industry. When designing for a wedding, I’m especially mindful of the couple’s budget, but also of the bride’s personality, likes and desires. My goal is always for her flowers to be an absolute expression of herself.

At Country Accents, color, design and imagination come together to create memorable moments. When considering flowers, or that special gift, I would be pleased to put my experience and expertise to work for you.
