Lauren, Brad and Josie spent the Thursday evening before their wedding hiking together as they have hundreds of times. They shared some words, witnessed only by me and the big ol’ black bear who walked by unbothered.

An early and extended cocktail hour, a guest list of folks who excelled at just rolling with it and a radar, that for once, was pretty accurate, allowed Noelle & Matt to postpone the ceremony and share their vows under the big bright September sky.

The mountains gifted both driving rain and golden sun - an Adirondack home run, if you ask me.

When I updated my website this spring, I trimmed some questions from my contact page but could not bring myself to take out the ‘favorite road trip snack’ box. What if we worked together and never even discovered our shared love of gas station food?

There is no wrong answer, but there is a right answer: Handful of sweet. Handful of savory. Repeat.
