Today we remember who started it all.

Pauline Bussey Peeler known as “Ma” or “Granny” would have been 100 years old today.

Born on August 4th, 1925, Ma lived a wonderful life with many siblings, her husband, and 12 children!

She left an impact on many throughout Columbia County and we know she would be proud of what her home has become and how many people get to enjoy it.

Here’s a little history about “Ma’s Place”

Ma’s Place is named after Pauline Bussey Peeler (1925-2001), also known as “Ma” or “Granny”

Ma’s Place is the original house in which she lived starting in 1961 and raised 12 children, until her death in 2001. Her husband, Mahlon Carl Peeler passed away in 1969 leaving her with most of the children at home still.

Through the years of her life many memories were made in this home with children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren!

She left an impactful memory on not just her family, but many in the community. Especially with her signature saying “Ain’t that right!”

The house of course has been renovated and updated for us to share with all of you!

We are excited to be able to share this home with you for any event you may have! If you’re interested in booking, please give us a call!
